Thanks Epervier......I've sorted it,the text in the download given for Ship Ini 2 (No Seaplane) still has the text at the end of the information, that needs to be removed, which, when done allows the Yamato to be used without the Seaplane showing up.

This part of the info  needs to be removed from the text given for Ship Ini 2 (No Seaplane) this is the final entry of this text.

[IJNYamatoClass:Part97]
BaseChunk                 Seaplane
strengthBasedOnThisSection strength_HullTiny

I suspect this hasn't been picked up before as I'm probably the only one that doesn't want the seaplane appearing on the Yamato  :-[

What a great piece of work, truly outstanding.

Fantastic ship!!! Great work!

I would like to ask why ships are not visible on the maps in game? Is it possible to make them visible, cause sometimes it is very difficult to find them for shooting))

Aren't they visible on maps in 4.10?  Can that be brought forward to 4.12 ans 4.13?

I never used 4.10, unfortunately. I started with 4.12.2. I wonder why ground objects like tanks, vehicles etc. are visible on maps, but ships are not((

Hello,

I recently downloaded the Yamato v2 using the correct version for 4.12.2m SAS Modact v 5.3 and installed it following the instructions. On completion I checked the Objects/View/Ships tab and found the ship listed and got the screen picture below. I was able to place the Yamato on the map I was using, replacing the generic Japanese BB and using the old WPs, as the speeds were the same. When I did a max zoom in on the map I saw the ship icon below the first WP and the blue WP lines leading from it. When I clicked Enter I could see the ship in formation while in 3D mode. I placed a static camera nearby and ran a test, only to find out that when the mission ran the Yamato was not visible even with the camera on top of the formation and using a max zoom out, although the other ships were in sight, and were moving properly. I found that I could save the changes to the mission but I could only get the Yamato to appear in 3D when there was no movement. Once the mission began it disappeared, even though it was using the same start time and speeds as the other ships. Any thoughts? Thanks.

There's so much data in the log file I'm not sure I've isolated the relevant parts but I thought I'd give it a try. I hope this helps.

I wanted to amplify a few things about the installation of my download. I have not installed any version of the Yamato previously and I am running 4.12.2m SAS Modact v 5.3 so I selected the proper download link for my installation. I selected the no seaplane option, so I followed the instructions, using the ship2 for no seaplane file and using the Hier.him file from the No Seaplane folder. However when I tried to add the Ship_JFC_Classes to my SAS folder I was told that there was already a file there by that name, as I had previously installed several other ships including the Iowa. I checked the contents of both folders, and the class files in each were identical in their composition with the same letter/number combinations. Since they were identical I did not merge the folders thinking that the folder already in place would suffice. I hope all of this helps.

Strange!
Yamatov2_notinmodpck.zip archive ?

The Classes provided are composed as follows:
- not touch !
4209F9C47E34B326   CannonJA_155mm
2F453DC2440CDD8A   CannonJA_460mm
B41ABA9E1D37450E   CannonUS_Mk7_410mm
D0E820D8C8F83662   MachineGunJA_Type93_13_x4

- Class for ships
9D6C94F4482C31D6   ShipJFC1$IJNYamatoClass
EC1145FCED6ADC34   ShipJFC1$USSIowaBB61
BC2508487F558066   ShipJFC1 (mother-Class)

It is not enough to have the same name. You also have to be the same size for mother-Class !  ;)
Check the hier.him you have in the folder (3do\Ships\Yamatov2\).
It must have a total of 1018 lines!
With the seaplane it has 1027 lines (the seaplane lines - 1011 to 1019 - are almost at the end)!
