DCG Korea 50-53 v1.4 for DBW
« on: February 13, 2012, 11:38:20 AM »

Hello all,

As an avid DCG fan and the excellent work by Lonestar67, I have updated his excellent Korea campaign to correctly function in DBW 1.7.1!
Well, actually now Lonestar himself has reworked it and has now taken owership! :)
-- Download --

The campaign includes the Skyraider by default as this plane is included in DBW, however, I have left the helicopter campaigns as a separate "add on" given the need for the heli AI mod which is not included in DBW.  Note that the DCG campaigns files specific to the helicopter "add on" have been updated to DBW standards.

Additionally, with the forgotten countries mod for DBW, KPAAF and PLA now display correct markings and when flying as North Korea or China, your flights will display relevant squad markings.  Note though that to fly as Korea or China, you will have to choose a IJA campaign when setting up DCG.

All in all, check it out and have fun!  If you experience any exploding plane issues, please note in this thread the sub campaign selected.

Note, this update has been tested on DBW 1.7.1 with Clean JGME Mod Packs.

enjoy!

Hi,
This version is created for DCG 3.47beta (strongly recommended!)

Note:
The Mig-15bislate is not installed in DBW 1.71 standard installation, but can be selected in the IJA KPAAF Fighter campaign!

I added also a PLA Fighter campaign, which included the Mig-15 SBD!

Many thanks to "wind", who had the idea for this version and made the groundwork for the Korean/Chinese markings!

AAR USMC F4UC JABO Korea

Upped out of Kimpo to hit columns at and around airbase just outside Wonsan.  Rockets and 20m strafing took out many soft cars/trucks, fuel silos, and also some parked planes and AAA.  Enemy fighters overhead, engaged with escorts, but some dropped down to tangle with strikers including myself in a F4UC.  After dropping tanks to go clean  (rockets used on ground targets), I went offensive.  Tangled with a number of Yak flights with a number of reversals though defensive most of time as outnumbered.  Repeatably called support from flight as well as home base for fighter vectoring which helped draw attention of heavy enemy fighter CAP.  All worked great and I was able to escape south though had a lone yak in trail.  He got a few shots off and I went defensive with a hard break and zoom climb and was able to reverse and pick him up.  After a really nice dogfight where he flew like a good human pilot online maintaining neutral position and E though horizontal and vertical scissoring, I was finally able to pull into advantage position and pepper him with the 4 20mils for wing separation.  Dove out and continued south for friendly territory.  Made it back to base with a total of about 55 minutes flight time.

7 ground kills
1 air kill

Not best stats, but the SA experience was quite rewarding and really showcased the excellence of the campaign and DBW!  Nice to see the KPAAF markings too when pulling in on a bandit!  :)

Hi
just installed a fresh DBW1.71 + DCG3.47 just for this campaign (my heavily modded version is having all kinds of problems)

I activated Slink's DCG 4 DBW Standard package in jsme (as well as Mod_Aircraft for the F4U's) and that's all

Marine F4U-1C campaign (first shots) seems to work fine.

USAF Fighter F-86A (China Intervene's[3rd sub-campaign]), USAF Fighter F-86F (Stalemate[4th]) and USAF Bomber/Recon F-84G1 (3rd sub-campaign) all exploded at start up

Ideas ?

Explosions usually refer to loadouts.  Open DCG UI and see if you aircraft loadouts looks fubar.  If so, you will need to open the payloads.dcg file in the campaign to correct based on changes for DCG 3.4.7.  If they are not fubar, try running again, and immediately after the explosions, hit shift/tab to pull up java console and look for any text that references an "error"  This will tell you what the error relates to.

the error message looks like you are missing a static car entry.  Perhaps try enabling the MOD_Static pack to see if that helps.  May need MOD_Maps as well.
