This has been a great cure for the grass airfields like Hawkinge on Canon's Channel maps that lost so much of their detail.....is there any chance of including TGA's for the hard runways like Tangmere, Biggin and the ones on the French coast on these maps?

These airfields used to have textured runways but now have a washed out grey appearance....barely usable.
Would be a welcome addition to those of us using the Canon Channel maps.

Thanks for that info.....I do remember way back on the first Channel map that Tangmere had "squares" (cement) and nice textures for the runway as I built many missions on it....but I cannot remember the map version!

Good to hear that Canon is still working on his new project.

Will these higher textures show up in Quick mission  or  are they limited to campaigns ? I've noticed that with full monty , the forgotten countries maps don't show up and all  I've got in quick mission are the standard few maps . Is there a way to get more maps in quick mission ?

Pencon, this textures are for maps. When you use them in ie map "XXX" then in IL-2 game this Map "XXX" is unique, it shows always the same in QMB, FMB, Campaigns, Single missions.

Birdman, my platform is  ( UP3 - 4.10.1 - RC4 ) The installation is straight forward , thanks  -

I have Carsmaster's water and light mods up and running fine ,  however do I need to make a change in my Conf.ini file for these textures to be optimal?

I'm running my game at 1600X1200 / 32 -  landscape set to "perfect" and have Flushys airfield textures installed

here are my [OPEN GL]  conf.ini settings :

You dont need conf.ini changes, 512 textures are being replaced by 1024 ones that doesnt requires any change in conf.ini.
For the Specular and SpecularLight parameters I got 2 in my conf.ini not sure what that does.
Imho Forrest=3, Landgeom=3 would increase your  visual experience and  Effects=1 your framerate.

What would be the files access I would need and the procedure to dump these 1024 textures into all of the the 4.10.1 UP3 QMB maps?
I have working 1024 repaints of QMB Crimea and MTO already -
