Agracier, like posted in the other forum, I almost finished a WIP with 5 jet capable airbases according to real research only where I found them. I hope to upload this stuff, based on your beauty here and airbases by SAS~farang65 and Dixiecapt, this weekend or next week.

Alta

Ivalo

And so on..
Will work for all 3 seasons, made sure that heights fit as well as no forest will be in the way for one or two bigger bases.

Greetings; tried out your two part jet map and I like it!  In your quick mission red scramble , there is a wooden fence across  the right taxi way, on which I intentionally crashed the jet to see if it was a graphic glitch. No problem as missions are easy to build, None the less I like the map. problem ...No Walmarts , Macys or Pizza shops. Thanks for the map.

One word.... PERFECT !

Congratulations Agracier!

Well, time to start thinking about 2048 textures ... ha ha. Seriously though, I was testing a new map that is almost ready and I was ever so pleased to find much less tiling effect at high altitude. Used to be with most maps, that about 1000-15000 m, the tiling of textures started to become rather prominent and spoiled the landscape.

Lats night I was above 3000m and to my utter surprise I could see virtually no tiling effect ... I really hope that is something inherent to 2048 textures ...

Personally, I like this map as it is. the Autumn trees and region reminds me of the Black forest in
the Battle of the Bulge and also the Bavarian region of Germany.
If you may decide to do a 2048 hi-rez map, I would like to suggest creating a diferent map and area which
has not yet been done.
For example, southern Germany close to the border with Austria. The so-called "Alpine Redoubt" area has not been
done in hi-res and there are many airfields and great things to put on maps in that region.
It looks very much like this map. Lots of nice forest and mountains amd lakes.
It is also where Germany tested their secret aircraft such as the Horten-229 flying wing and also built
Me-262 in secret mountain caves. The 262 were built inside the mountain and then put together on a small factory
that looked like a barn next to the mountain. Then they dragged the jets up the mountain and on top of the mountain
there was an airfield from which the 262 took off to be delivered.  ;)
I have alot of information/photos about this area.
I will give you some images to wet your appetite...
Me 262 factory at Walpersberg, Kahla, Germany

Just some ideas.

Thank you once again for this Lapland map.

2048 textures is the way to go from now on ...no doubt for me. I've gotten in a Pacific/Far East mindset lately though. All the previous years I've had Il-2 I hardly ever did anything with Japanese aircraft and now they seem to be fascinating ... especially the early years of the 1930's in China ...

Anyway, I have so many basic maps to start from, but it's hard to choose which is feasible to make ...

That also sounds very good. I like PTO action and adventure flying maps.
What ever you decide to create , its all very good art.
Have fun with it!
