Defense of the Reich for UP 3.0 and DBW
« on: December 19, 2011, 12:15:29 AM »

The Defense of the Reich campaign was designed for Il2 4.1.0, dgen.exe 4.0.8.6, Ultrapack 3.0 and DBW .

Included is

- a Luftwaffe fighter campaign from 1943-45 and (Defense of the Reich)

- an USAAF fighter campaign 1943-45. (Battle over Germany)

The USAAF fighter campaign has mostly airstarts. You can fly nearly every plane that is historic correct and/or some others added for fun.

I´ve done a new skin pack for the new campaign:

More than 100 skins done by myself, i have assembled the skins into one big generic skin pack for the Defense of the Reich campaign and the new West front campaign.

What's the status of the new DGen ?   I bet Boelcke could build some great dynamic campaigns with all the new maps !

OK guys, it's once again your old and unsmart buddy down here in south Texas, and once again, I seem to have a problem.  I downloaded the campaign.  Unzipped, it was one folder, "DGEN".  I extracted and copied all the enclosed files to my DGEN folder, and tried starting USAAF.  I chose my options (rank, difficulty, etc).  It didn't beep at me (as has happened before) or anything, it just wouldn't start.  The campaign was there, indicated the five (I think it was five) possible campaigns within, but nothing would happen when I hit the generate button.  As I have asked many times before here, what have I done wrong this time?  Thanks for your help.

I don't know whether I have the latest "DGEN.exe".  Can you tell me how to tell?  And another stupid question.  I went to your link and found the download, did it, but now I have a Dgen.exe, an application file from what the properties tell me, but I can't get it to do anything.  I double click it and nothing.  Man, this thing is killing me.  Thanks for your help.  Again.

That one is the latest version of the DGEN.exe , simply drag it/cut/copy-paste to your root game folder (UbisoftIL-2 Sturmovik 1946) and let it overwrite the old one. (or back up the old one somewhere safe first just to be sure  ;))

If you look in the UbisoftIL-2 Sturmovik 1946 Folder for your old, DGEN.exe  right-click it, select properties, and then select Details, it will tell you which version and when it was released. As i understand the latest version is 4.0.8.6

If you do not have the up to date compatible DGEN.exe for a newer DGEN campaign this can cause issues.  It just needs to be in the game folder, you dont need to do anything else

hope that helps
