Jugs reloaded


Hi mates, here we go, the (nearly) fully featured Jugs reloaded. Please see old and new ordnance options "per station" compared between old and new implementation. Note that for the new implementation any combination of ordnance options on each stations is possible, there's currently a total of 73 possible loadouts selectable:

6 x 4,5'' Rockets, 200 rounds per gun
6 x 4,5'' Rockets, 425 rounds per gun
2 x 500lb bombs, 200 rounds per gun
2 x 500lb bombs, 267 rounds per gun
2 x 1000lb bombs, 267 rounds per gun
2 x 108gal droptanks, 267 rounds per gun
2 x 110gal droptanks, 267 rounds per gun
2 x 167gal droptanks, 267 rounds per gun

Installation requirements:
You need some of the big mod packs being around, either HSFX or UP3 (with or without DBW on top).
This pack is not compatible with Stock 4.10.1m since it needs a whole lot additional stuff (might be possible to add everything manually, but it's strictly unsupported).

How to install:
Inside the downloaded zip Archive you'll find two folders, "Stock Front" and "Stock Inline". Please see revision history for detailed description of the differences between those two versions. Pick either version of your choice (don't install both, you can only have one at a time) and extract the contents of the regarding folder to your modded files folder. This should get you a new folder called "P-47D Ordnance Patch" in your modded files folder.
Depending on your type of game, this folder is either called "MODS", "#UP#" or "#DBW".
If you wish to have plain text readable names for the loadout options, please apply additional changes as stated in the readme.txt.

Credits:
This mod builds up on top of the base game's P-47D Jugs.
The 200gal droptank has been taken shamelessly from Kumpel's P-47D30/40 mod, so praise him for the good job he's done on it.

Things "under the hood":
The cal .50 guns use APIT ammo now.
The guns aren't synchronized anymore.
When wing pylon stations are occupied, the guns have 267 rounds each, otherwise 425.
Pylons are in place only when needed (they've been detachable IRL too).

Restraints:
Wing pylons will always be visible in QMB, center pylon will never be visible in QMB. Ingame they show up correctly.
This is a game limitiation which isn't easy to overcome as this would require the QMB itself to be modified, which is difficult since there are different QMB versions out in the wild.




Revision History:
  • v0.01:
    Initial release with new ordnance only, incompatible with stock missions.
  • v0.02:
    Second release, available in two versions, retains stock mission compatibility by implementing additional stock loadout options.
    "Stock Front" version shows stock loadouts in QMB selection in front of new loadouts. Some options apply twice, both in stock and new loadouts.
    "Stock Inline" features new loadouts with stock ones integrated.
    In both versions you can identify new loadouts by their asterisk ("*") flag carried in front of the loadout's description.

While this mod version is basically compatible with both stock missions and online gameplay, please note that due to the fact that stock loadouts have been altered, stock missions might not turn out as expected and you might be called a "cheater" when using this mod online, especially due to the raised ammo count.

So APIT does more damage I take it? Does it normally have tracer and ball then?

One additional suggestion.  Maybe at the same time you up grade the external stores you correct the number of rounds per gun in the default configuration.  It appears to be 200 RPG in the game, but every reference I have shows it as 267 RPG.
