Yeah, I loved watching the Ga. ANG's G models, but I was too dumb back then to have a camera. Those things were very effective for a long time after Nam, into the 80s. Were worth thier wieght in gold to the guys they were running interference for.

The 105 was actually one of our first stealth designs, having such a low radar signature in the head on aspect that they put a transmitter box (I forget the tech name) on the nose gear to show up on Air control radar at air bases.

There was also the T-stick modification post nam that involved a large fairing for systems to deliver PGMs. My pal Col. Bob Cordle (ret) was the project officer for that. They only converted 30 of them though. The fairing on the fuselage spine was actually fairly large.

When I worked on F-4D's, the Pilots had a saying "Back in the 105 day's", lol I used to hear that allot back then.

would be great to have this one flying, especially as it would be necessary for any realistic Vietnam USAF campaign.

I don't know whether it helps anyone here as I really don't understand much of what is discussed on this board, but during the 1960's, I served in the USAF as a loadcrew member on F-105's (9th TFW), and as a weapons release specialist on McDonnell-Douglas F-4's (349th MMS)...If I can dredge up any memories from those days that will help, I'll be glad to try... :-X...Ben

Requested F-105 Thunderchief are mod-made 2 years ago and published, updated .... also already composed in BAT-JTW.

As I mentioned, I'm not familiar with this discussion board at all, nor its main purpose...I'm just trying to offer information from my experiences...
