Kick ass Helicopter sounds! :

by George Formby of the AVG

Helicopter flown by AI (4.09 & 4.10)

The AI can now walk between the three helicopters (Bell 47, H-19 and HSR-3).
Players such as AI, will pilot the helicopters ... like an aircraft (takeoff, landing, flight...)

Purists will cry foul ... I cried the genius!  :P

Installation:
- If you have these helicopters mod "standalone", you can mixed in a single folder.
- Add the contents of the archive below the main folder of helicopters.
- Add the lines of the air.ini and plane_ru.properties!
- According to the buttons used by your pack, remember to change the file FM (Helico_FM).

Version 1.2 !
- added Kick ass Helicopter sounds
- slight change in the FM files (conservation of a position of flaps to allow very small speed)

Version for users buttons SaS (4.09 and 4.10)

If you use a 409 buttons:
You take the file "Helico_FM" in the folder "FM_409" and you paste it in the folder "06__Helico_AI_butSaS_v1.2" !

***********************************************

Splendid idea, makes me wonder if I can now get a bunch of helo's to sit on a deck like on an LPH.  If I can, I feel a mod for an LPH deck coming on ...

I tried it but so far they keep exploding ... fuel set to zero etc, so it's something else, any ideas ?

Remember to change the 2 files FM (BELL and HRS3) by those for your buttons.
By default ... these files are those buttons for the C6!

Feel free to use the flaps ... they allow to come down to less than 20km/h!

The Bell is very fickle when you start a mission in flight (QMB).
The "AI" may exceed the speed of 200km/h... not the player (185km/h)... if not explosion!
So... best with Bell is to move quickly into autopilot... and wait to be below 180 km/h to regain control... or start a mission "scramble"!

The Hxxx work well!

*******************

Ah yes, I had not noticed that version 4.09 had disappeared! :(
Okay!
You download version 4.10 and when mixed with other helicopters, you delete the file "BELL".
Then you add the files of this Mod in the folder of three helico !
Do not forget to copy the FM files corresponding to your buttons! ;)

I consolidated my 3 stand alone folders ( Bell47, Sikorsky_H19D_v1.00, & Sikorsky_HRS3_v1.05 ) into a single folder called Helicopters, then I added the contents of Helicopteres_AI folder ( all except the 2 sub folder/sub directories named : FM_409_for buttons C6, & FM_409_for buttons SaS ) after which I went into the FM_409_for buttons SaS folder and copied the BELL & the HRS3 files within into the Helicopters folder and then filled in the Ini entry just below the originals ( as well as the plane_ru entires ) - works pretty well in 4.09m with sas standalone, but one request, can it be fixed to use the sound mod for the originals ? ( I think located in the FX section ) as i've grown rather fond of my Helicopters sounding like actual whirlybirds ( tested and it works with original helicopters only ) - and thanks, this is a much needed modification.
