Thanks Mike!
I was somewhat aware of "cheating" AI. This latter not sharing same player's FM is a major drawback more or less of any sim. Anyway it is however enjoyable until it does not perform completely crazy manoeuvers, like snap turns while in formation like in Forgotten Battles, that made always to lose in midair collisions at least half of your AI flight mates...
1946 v.4.10.1m has much more quiet wingmen, but still unreal enemy AI, performing evasive manoeuvers so close to ground (or water) that their belly should touch (or at least their airscrew).
SAS Modact 3.06 AI seems to me more active as wingmen whilst enemy AI is less crazy. I think would be still work to do; for instance, that turns always performed with rudder all way on a side give immediately a sensation of fake...
But major improvement with ModAct 3.06 is for player, IMO. Eventually, for instance, a little change in throttle no more causes an exaggerated variation of attitude, so realistic landings can be performed, reducing or increasing a bit throttle on final, without losing aircraft control... wonderful! Perhaps player's FM is a bit too "wagging": I've limited experience in RL as ULM pilot (not to speak as airline passenger, lol) and seldom noticed all that yaw twitching.
Respectfully,
