Battle Sounds v2
« on: August 19, 2011, 06:55:35 PM »

Battle Sounds v2
This mod enhances some of the mid air explosions as well as the air to ground explosions. In Game, the stock air to ground explosion sounds are almost nonexistent. Battle Sounds v2 fixes that. When you drop your bombs at low level, you will now be able to hear the explosion. You will also be able to hear your rockets when they impact the ground. In addition, there are several new sound files added to Battle Sounds v2.

Installation:

Copy Battle_Sounds_v2 to your IL-2 1946 Mods folder.

To uninstall:

Delete the Battle_Sounds_v2 folder from your IL-2 1946 Mods folder.

The rain sample that comes with Battle Sounds v2 is very good but it can be a bit demanding on resources in some systems so for this reason I have added a lighter version of the rain.

To install the Battle-Sounds-v2-Rain-Lite, just drop it into your JSGME and activate it if needed.

Another mod that I highly recommend to go along with this one is (Battle-Sights - v4.0). The two mods work really well together.

Enjoy!

 :) Hi!

Thank you very much for this mod sound,
it adds more details and realism to
immertion of Il-2... it's fantastic!

And it works very well over the "Tiger33" pack sound
it is even complementary ...

Really great! ... yet another please ...

PS: A small Sound mod (impact, shrapnel and metal sound...) for the damage when you're in the cockpit would be a good idea ...
because they a little disappeared with the Tiger_33 Mod sound.  :'(

 ;) All the best ...

Nice pack you got there, downloading now and can't wait to test it out. :D.....Downloaded it, and it is fantastic. However, the explosions are kinda too loud. I can hear a shell hitting the ground several miles away. Other than that, awesome stuff there Slikk.

Guys,

I don't want to be a kill joy, but the Battle Sounds v1 and v2 were done using the sounds from another game.  Last year the person who used these sounds was told in no uncertain terms to STOP or be sued by the company.  If these are different then great, but if not, then you may want to kill the link before it gets out of hand.

@ Jollyroger

You are in error. This is total misinformation! You have this mod confused with the (Wings of Victory: Sound Replacement Pack). The two mods are by two different authors and have nothing to do with each other. If you had done a search, you could have found all of this out yourself.

No disrespect Jollyroger, but next time do a search to get your facts straight before you type something like this.  ;)

Fantastic!!!

I was praying I was wrong.
Just wanted to make sure no one got slapped by the greed of some evil corporate empire.....

As for the search....
I downloaded the Original WoV sound packs when they first came out and they were also named Battle sounds v1 and v2.

Another option on the basis laid http://files.mail.ru/M06M27 Nick modification. Added noise component of the battle field and altered the sounds of guns. Used a sound mod "Battle-Sounds-v2.0".

Two fixes for sound fashion from Nick: http://files.mail.ru/GIWXY3 and http://files.mail.ru/XWKBDW
The first rules when running sound of jet engines, the second rule of sound in a dive.
Established as a fashion. If desired, you can copy files to the replacement of the sound modes.
