How were you able to make it work for latest ModAct and 4122 version of the game?

I noticed that when this mod (DBW version) is activated the sound of the manually raising/lowering landing gear of the I-16 disappeared.

While it stills works on the US F4F-3.

Hi everybody, especially Jiver

I wonder if it is possible to extract only one great sound effect from Jivers sound mod and put it into the my_presets and my-samples folders to play the game in the new CUP-Version and enjoying the outstanding stotter-effect of the engines when the motor is hit.

I tried the following:

I found the motor.pm_82 PRS which I think is responsible for the stotter sound after the engine was hit by bullets. I have put the file into the folder

my_presets/sounds

Into the folder
my_samples
I have put all the files which were mentioned in the PRS file

Just to be sure I left all the files in the
my_presets/acoustic folder as they were put in by Jiver.

Unfortunately it didn't work.
It was a try...

Does anybody might help me?
Thank you

Got this mod working on S.A.S. Modact 6.01. Just put 'sas_sound_04.sfs' in the 'SFS_AUTO' folder and you're good to go.

Hi guys! I'm new here!
I hope someone still can helps me with this mod, after so many years!
I can't enable it. I'm using vanilla 4.09m with JSGME in Windows 7.
I have JSGME installed in the main game folder ("C:/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/JSGME.exe") and so the mods folder ("C:/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/MODS"). Using this "configuration" I can activate many mods (ex. another sound mod that works flawlessly), simple putting the mod folder into "C:/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/MODS" and activating it via JSGME.

I have downloaded the SAS Button 10.3, that I read it's compatible with 4.09m, and I'm using the "4111_SAS_Offline_Buttons" (I've tried all version but it doesn't works at all). I copy the "buttons" file in " C:/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/MODS/STD/files/gui/game" folder and activating it, then JSGME creates the directory " C:/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/Files/gui/game" with the "buttons" file in it.

Then I tried to use the sound mod, downloading the classic mode version, but I can't make it works in any way.
Here's how I tried.

- Unzipping the "#CM_Jiver's Total Sound Mod v2.0" folder in "C:/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/MODS" and activating it. JSGME creates no folder in main directory, only a "9_JTSM_v2.0" folder in "C:/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/MODS": it doesn't works.

- Unzipping the "9_JTSM_v2.0" folder in " C:/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/MODS" and activating it. JSGME creates many files like "1FCB0C56..." in main IL-2 folder, many .wav files in " C:/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/samples" and a "sounds" folder (full of .prs files) in " C:/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/presets": it doesn't works.

Please help me! Thanks in advance!

Why? strange.

About non-JSGME style MODs (no need editing ini or rc files ones),
putting the MOD into MODS folder, it's all and no need more tasks.

About JSGME style MODs,
putting the MOD into jsgmemods folder (NOT MODS folder) and enabling it in JSGME window.

I have downloaded the SAS Button 10.3, that I read it's compatible with 4.09m,

Who told you it? or Where do you read it?
Each SAS buttons depends on each game versions and NO COMPATIBILITY to other game versions.

For 4.13m SAS button is usable only on 4.13m game.
For 4.12.2m SAS button is usable only on 4.12.2m game.
For 4.11.1m SAS button is usable only on 4.11.1m game.
For 4.10.1m SAS button is usable only on 4.10.1m game.

So, your 4.09m game can manage only for 4.09m SAS button.
4.09m version is here -- https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,23404.0.html

Do you read CM_Install Instructions.txt ?
How to install it is described.
It doesn't show ' Unzipping the "#CM_Jiver's Total Sound Mod v2.0" folder in "C:/IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/MODS" '.
Do as written in CM_Install Instructions.txt from the first.

What's the right directory installation for JSGME?

I read it on this forum, in Sas button download thread.

"For 4.09 users, get with the future! But seriously, the 4.11.1m version should work with your game. The last 'strictly' 4.09 buttons is v8.7: SAS Buttons 8.7 for 4.09 games)".

The link for the native v8.7 doesn't works.

Thanks for your help!

Did the same. Works fine. Only BMW 801s are bit silent
