For atmosphere and theatre I love the music from Gears of War.  Never played the game, but what a soundtrack!  I have re-sampled the sounds and converted them for Il2 Menu music.

The new GB.wav is similar to the music in the middle of the Battle of Britain film. A great grand soundtrack that calls to mind the swirling dogfights. When you hear it you can see the action in your minds eye. The other tracks are likewise very big sounding productions:

The US.wav has a steady build up, like landing craft riding in to the beaches, there is a flurry of activity and the pace cools down, tailing off as your minds camera zooms out to take in the entire smoking battlefield.

The new De.wav is terrifying, kettledrums and marshal brass march towards you in waves, getting louder and louder until you are crushed beneath the Nazi jackboot!

This is BIG MUSIC! I could never go back to the tinny sounding oompah bands of the original.

Turn up the bass and enjoy your campaign and mission planning....

IL2 newbie just feeling my way around the mods.

Stock music was making me want to cut my left ear off Van Gogh style so gave this a try.  Really like the variety... some are more "in the heat of battle" while others are more of a somber orchestral.

how do you get your own music to work as in I know how to put in WAV but it only plays for the first ten seconds the repeats, I'm not talking about your pack by the way (never really was a fan of Gears of war) I'm putting ace combat music in my install
