Cliffs of Dover Discussion - Some Guidelines
« on: April 19, 2011, 08:37:54 AM »

Okay gents,

Just noticed there aren't any discussion guidelines here for this section, so thought I'd put a few out there to clarify SAS's stance.

1) All discussion of CoD is welcomed, as long as it is within SAS's overall rules (e.g. no general whinging or flaming posts)

2) There have been many technical issues with this game. SAS mainly deals with IL-2 so please try get technical assistance from one of the other forums e.g. Ubisoft (they will be more likely to help you). On the flipside, if you have some good hints that might help others, please post!

3) Luthier aka Ilya has officially stated that 1C:Maddox will at some stage support modding for CoD BUT in the mean time discourages players from doing so due to Steam's anti-cheat system. Whilst SAS is 100% cool with anyone discussing or sharing SAS mods at this stage, modifying your CoD game is at your own risk. If you do so and you get a Steam ban from a mod you found here, we are not responsible. You are on your own :)

4) SAS is an IL-2 modding site. Whilst undoubtedly some members may move into modding CoD, and here at SAS we are all for modding, SAS as it stands does not officially support CoD modding projects. Please feel free to share any modding efforts here, but do so at your own risk.

Otherwise, keep it cool, shoot down some bad guys and lets enjoy another flight sim :)
