No, it's aircraft-mounted modification of Russian infantry's main MG Maxim M1910. The main difference from prototype is an air-cooled barrel instead of water-cooled one.
Vickers machine gun was an improvement on the original design of Hiram Maxim in 1883. Compared to the original draft was substantially simplified machine guns, many of the parts are manufactured from aluminum so as to reduce its overall weight. The most important change, which in 1908 made chief designer George Buckham, the reconstruction of the system to lock. Machine gun used by the system to lock the principle articulated lever connected. These levers are the original Maximus and the first versions Vickers spill down, but Buckham decided to use their tipping space at the top of the receiver.
