In case mapmakers aren't aware of it: the University of Texas has an interesting collection of  topographic maps of (pre and post) WWII from many parts of the world like North Africa, Asia, Russia, Europe etc.
Even many cities plans of WWII are available.

Take note that loading time can be a bit long because of the large maps.  ;)
