Very good information thanks for sharing, unfortunately there is nothing of like to compile class files.  :) ;)

There was...But the Modders and Admin at SAS have decided to keep this information hidden from public, so that the game is protected.

Thanks Verhängnis  :), yes, I imagined it , I am learning on my own, and I only need to learn how to compile java, for now I use JavaBite  ;)

If you get to the stage where you need java help someone will probably take you under their wing and explain ;) For someone who is learning themselves I suggest doing something 3D wise as you can create what you like and it can be quite interesting whereas java is just code which you have to do. Prove yourself to others around you and they'll take you onboard ;)

I think I'm the first to reply to your initial question about text size, colours etc. So here we go...  ;)
I haven't checked to see if the content covered everything or to see if it's correct because 3D modelling is waaay beyond my knowledge.
When I opened the downloaded file I noticed a few things at first glance.
If I were you I would limit the amount of colours (now I see six different colours) and also limit the text size. I think 3 sizes should do: large for new chapters titles, medium for the explanatory text and small for footnotes/hyperlinks. And for emphasizing something I think just underlining or Italic will do.
Now it's quite tiring to read, especially the orange text colour. With the current variety of colours and sizes it looks like if everything got emphasized now.
Compare it with a guide or manual on paper: just black text on white paper with illustrations. When properly done easy to read and to understand.
Just like the poet Robert Browning wrote: "Less is more".  :D

That's my opinion about your guide but if the 3D modellers -for who this guide is meant to be in the first place- don't have any problems with it's current state I would leave it as it is then.

Cheers, U.

Generally you just need something plain and simple, to the point. Well structured etc... Can be a bit decorative but it shouldn't be distracting the user from the text. Take the guide that I wrote for IL2 1956 as an example ;) Most of it is just text and a kind of old paper like background. Nothing special interms of text etc..
