When I was in Madrid we stayed at Alphonso the 13th Hotel on the same trip.

It was great!

Thank you for your work!

Amazing!
Christ! I think that i'm ready to retire from mapmaking. My maps look absolutely rubbish when comparing to This and Mixx: s new maps....
Dang, i can't even fly over my maps anymore.....
+ I can't make new textures...
+ my photoshop skills are very limited.
+Almost every area around the globe that was important at ww2 has been covered.....
I will concentrate to making missions and campaigns...

Well, I'll tell ya, every time I see someone else's map then I too loose heart ... It's probably one of those 'greener on the other side' things ... ha ha

In any case, there are still so many areas to map and lately there are so many textures to use that you don't really need to make many new ones.

But what is important is to find someone willing to help out with making a map. Doing it all by yourself just takes too many diverse 'skill's. Graphic manipulation of map files I'm good at I guess, but when it comes to populating I am a dunce and uninspiring. Luckily there are members like Lejo/Uufflake for the Spanish maps and Riptide for Far Eastern templates who are absolute geniuses in coming up with great looking combinations of objects ... and who are willing to help out with maps ... without their help the maps wouldn't amount to much.

I'm only good to populate maps....
It is like building missions with normal FMB.
I just wish that i could import my own objects like simple buildings or houseblocks too.
We have heaps of new maps, but not too many missions or campaigns. So missionbuilders are really needed too.
I dont know how many maps you have made Agrcier. But i have liked them all. And you are getting better all the time

Hey Agracier, I found some old photographs of Madrid during the SCW ;)
Seems to be some of Robert Capa's lost photos.  ;D

Ha ha ... if only ...

You know odd you should mention him. Robert Capa is maybe the only person I've ever considered to be a personal hero ... if there was ever anyone I wanted to be, it was like him ... except for the landmine thing in French Indochina of course ...

And I don't think this is any big secret, but Kapteeni did some war reporting of his own ... Il-2's own Robert Capa ...
