I would like to confirm and recall the site mentioned by cgagan on post No 1 here, CirX's favourite ressource:

http://www.asisbiz.com/il2.html

http://www.asisbiz.com/il2/F6F-5/F6F-5-CAG-15-McCampbell.html

http://www.asisbiz.com/il2/Wildcat/F4F-skins/pages/IL2-AL-FM-2-Wildcat-Hot-Lips-Unknown%20Unit-1944-45.html

The full service, skins and info.

Hi. I would like to ask you, how can I download some skins from http://www.asisbiz.com/il2.html ? I found there a list with the names of the skins only, but none can be open...

slejsa;
I had the same issue before realizing that you need to click on the white title banner on the name of the aircraft. You'll then see a page with a collection of images including skin templates.
Click on the desired template then click again to 'expand' the image then right-click and "Save Image As.."  and save your image as a .bmp file.

All that to say that the site itself while having an excellent collection is not intuitive and there's probably LOTS of people who have left the site in frustration due to not knowing what to click to get to the skins.
The 'link' aspect is poorly thought out.

On the contrary, the site is heavily optimized to get a high Google ranking. It's just not well laid out for actual users. :(

Still, if you can put up with it, the site is a good resource for skins and potential skinning ideas.

As an incorrigible collector of skins for IL-2, checking out (albeit belatedly, since I've been lurking round here for several months already) this thread is like a food-aholic happening upon a buffet.  :o

Thanks much for the smorgasbord of links!  8)

It looks like Asisbiz site is down. Not sure if this is temporary or has been discontinued. No joy. :(

CptFarrel's site has been down for quite a bit, doesn't look like it coming back. Quite a shame, his Bf-109 skins in particular, were some of the best made.
