TB_1_ANT_4 series (beta).
« on: March 26, 2014, 01:42:55 PM »

Hello guys, these are a continuation of a project started by Bison_M in this thread:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=36060.0

These are released here at the request of Bison_M.

The download consists of four aircraft all modelled by Bison_M as twin engined types.

EDIT: Update V3.1 30/04/2014

https://www.mediafire.com/?3a5z81y0a476cpg

Gunner fix by Stefan SG:

From Hubberranz various JGSME options for the floats:

For those who have the updated pack from AviaSkins here is the SSP for the transport version added to that pack:

Mediafire link:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/n7f29ax2zv9p1vq/TB-1%20ANT-4%20transport%20SSP.zip

Please be aware that update pack does not contain the folder for the original statics, that is
in the 3.1 link above.
;)

These aircraft have now been adapted by SAS~Storebror to twin engine configuration, the aircraft  now have completely new aircraft class files and FM.

Please delete any previous versions of this mod before adding this version to your install.

If you have this mod installed please remove and add the latest update:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=39987.0

Please note:

If you take off in the float plane with auto be aware that if you then select to fly it the aircraft will pitch up quite harshly and you will have to correct it. This also happens with an air start, Keeping throttle low and trimming should help.

TB_1_ANT4 series: Created by Bison_M

Glad you are happy with them Mad026, they are still WIP but Bison_M asked me to put them out now rather than have folks like you wait ages for them. ;)

He will look at them again when time permits.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Skin-folders for TB-1s:

\ IL2 Shturmovik\PaintSchemes\Skins\

TB_1_ANT4
TB_1_ANT4b
TB_1_ANT4Ski
TB_1P_Float

Series TB-1 is almost completely compatible skins from the TB-3.

Regards ;)

Hello guys, there is now an update in the first post that corrects the bombsight view for the 4.12.2 version, previously I had tried to use the one folder for all aircraft, however 4.12 does not seem to like that and the FOV of the scale was not as you see with the sim default TB aircraft, this has now been put right by allocating each aircraft a Bombardier station of their own. ;)

Previous view:

Updated version:

I have still not found out if it is possible to deactivate two of the engines so the aircraft will behave as a twin, that is still on the to do list.

The aircraft are now included in my full stationary mod if you do not like the SSPs:

Hello Pete! Thanks for the update! Here's a question: will TB-1 finally become a two-engine? ;D Thanks! :)

Hello Pete! Thanks for the update! Here's a question: will TB-1 finally become a two-engine? ;D Thanks! :)

I do not actually know the answer to that one The Radge, sorry.

I tried using classfiles of twin engined aircraft originally but all I got was a null message when I tried to load them in QMB. :(

It may be that because the 3D is still for a four engined aircraft even though the engines are hidden, that is what the clasfile has to be, all I can hope for is that somehow it is possible to actually deactivate two of the engines so that it behaves like a twin, sadly my java knowledge is limited so they are as they are for now, maybe always. ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hello guys, there is now a new update in the first post. ;)

Please completely remove any previous versions before installing this one.

The aircraft has now been converted to a true twin engined configuration by SAS~Storebror.

I would like to say a very special thank you to him for helping to bring this project to close and completing what Bison_M started, without his intervention I doubt it would have been completed satisfactorily. 8)

Changes have been made to reflect the revised type:

Redundant instrument gauges have been covered up by Bison_M:

Mike removed any surplus controls to reflect the new configuration:

And new snow shoes by Bison_M:

Enjoy, happy flying. ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D
