Title: Upgraded Bf-109 cockpit pack Greifwerke edition
Post by: Greif11 on October 12, 2012, 04:29:10 AM
(https://dl.dropbox.com/u/53506654/Anounce/October/FredSee.jpg)

Long time I dig through BF-109 F Handbook (1941 issue) And found shocking mistake in All Bf cockpits
That is Pedal strut (pedals foot lever) That is How it looks in real
(https://dl.dropbox.com/u/53506654/Anounce/October/Fusshebellagerung%20F_2.jpg)
After that was totally reworked all that area in every cockpit of my edition I add as min 2-3 new meshes in every cockpit
Bf-109 F was a lill bit pariah in all pack Now has new look (i add non rotated handle for Patin, new floor panels and etc.etc )
And after All After long tests i make new prop for every 109
That is fruit of my experience
Pack is tested on version 4.09 And can be mixed with prew version of my work
Download from Mediafire

If somebody can help with screenshots Thanks in advance
(temporary I'm disabled with Il-2)

Pedal strut needs new mesh for full identity with original. That what you see is just compromise solution with old mesh.

I have the mod called "Combined bf 109 cockpits V4" on my UP3 4.10.1

I put these into my #UP# / 3do folder but they are not showing up in my game
should I add them using the JSGME mods application,  or are they not compatible with "Combined bf 109 cockpits V4"?

could someone post the root folder tree IE: #UP#/3do/plane etc... to show exactly where these go in my game #UP# folder?

Thanks

In my pit which is based on your V4 pits. Greif11 textures work Great!

-> D:\IL-2 Sturmovik - 1946\#DBW\HD_Cockpit\3do\Cockpit

Sorry I tried it in my pit first ( would never release it that way without permission), So that I wouldn't mess up your beautiful cockpits.
Love your Revi 16 B gunsight too. Hope you don't mind me posting this pic Greif11

Why not. And after all if you correct light and color of all instruments as i post you before all must be excellent.

Quote
Just one trick of art from Greifwerke workshop.
I make 1 big as possible PSD canvas And after as layers I place dashboard(Panel)
After layer by layer I place all instruments (1 instrument per 1 layer).
By that method you can correct Gamma,Light and color with correct color levels for every piece in total view.
Next step you can make relief and shadows for instruments on base dashboard.
After work is done place every instrument back to parent textures.

Thank you, this is excellent! I have no idea what it can be more improved, it looks perfect right now.

I have also one request, please offer us an alternative panel of the -F series without the lady. I am asking only about the -F series because all the rest alternative panel from v4 of the combine cockpits work fine, apart from -F series.

Just look inside mod In F-2 folder. There You can find folder named /Panel variant/There has a texture without postkard and lot of other work material.
Another way open hier.him file in Bf-109F-2 folder with notepad and put // in front of [PoppedPanel_D8]

Hello,

I have a problem with the Bf 109 F4! The shot counter display is black.

And the large hole on the seat.

Can anybody help me to solve these two problems. Thank you Klaus.

Sorry, I was not able to find an alternative panel with no lady pic. To disactivate the PoppedPanel_D8 for me it's not the best solution, it looks ungly like that.

In any case, it's not that important. The cockpit now seems so close to what should have been the real thing.

What a problem with lady?  (BTW that is original Reichspostkarte and I spent lot of time for search in private collections) Just copy paste there what you want or use another cockpit pack.
I just draw for you for example one page from Schissfibel  1944 year of issue. Wartime in every cockpit was a young men with normal hormonal balance.

Ok
Please no more political discussions in my thread.
War is over.
My family plays WW II as Mexican draw 6:6 =0 Nobody did not survive 1942
I also was soldier -who was sent to dirtiest ass for nothing.(1983-1986) Ethiopia and South Yemen.
And can understand any soldier --but newer understand men who start holy war at forums abt what they know only from mass-media and politics.
Real history has nothing in common with paper back pocket books and well cooked history textbooks.
That fit only to prepare good brain cocktail (color doesn't matter).

I am have some difficulty installing this mod, perhaps one of you fine gentlemen can assist me?  I used 7zip to extract the files to a folder named "GW_Combined Bf-109 Cockpits Pack" within my "jsgmemods" folder.  It made the folder icon into a bumble bee instead of a folder and was not visible to the JSGME application.  I copied the contents of the GW_Combined folder into a new folder then renamed it to the original in order for JSGME to see it.  When I selected it from the left to the right it appeared to install it correctly, however none of the cockpits show once in game.  I looked at the Bf-109F4/G2/G14 aircraft, all which seem to be shown here in the thread.

The mods I've used are the History Mod> Hakenkruez Enabler> Expert Mode> GW_Combined...

I also tried with just History Mod> GW_Combined...

Thanks in advance.

Title: Re: Upgraded Bf-109 cockpit pack Greifwerke edition
Post by: Greif11 on November 29, 2012, 03:47:25 AM
Normal working path to that mod is ............\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Mods\GW_Combined Bf-109 Cockpits Pack\3do\Cockpit

If you got more folders in front row it makes that mod invisible for game.
I dunno exactly structure of your mods but......
How to try cockpits anyway
Just find another properly working   mod in your package, and drop folders Cockpit and Plane from GW_Combined Bf-109 Cockpits Pack to 3do folder.
Don't forget backup that folder before experiment  ;)

Good luck

Thanks guys! I received a note from another pilot that I'm missing a few folders in my JSGMEmods directory.  I'll give that a try first then try out Greif's suggestion before falling back on BravoFxTrt's solution, which would definitely work now that I understand the Mods folder structure.

All three should work out.  Thanks again for the prompt and quite accurate replies.

You mean Emil with cannon's butt stuck between pilot legs?

But that option appears on F series-they move cannon backward for overheat prevention. That was solution what opened way for Motorkanone.

Look for CannonUK E-3 edition  and you have separate E-3 bone box. Same 3D but in differ colors.

Hi Greif!

I would jump in just to thank you also for a special feature of your 109 'pits, that's they doesn't loose padlock view when padlocked object is behind canopy frame (but it seems they never loose contact from cockpit internal view - if it's not my imagination...).

That's a feature I always dreamed in IL-2, since having no Track-IR, I felt enervating iterated  manual search of object to padlock - just lost behind the thickness of a glass, like in 109F - when the logic teaches that this should be an automatic process, since player can't move his head in virtual reality, so machine must do for him (like in all other sims I played).

Thank you again,
GB

Yes Boelcke they do work in HSFX6. Maybe try putting an  #  in front of the Folder for Early loading.

"my"...only cause it's what I'm using on my HSFX 6.17 installation  :)

Give it a try...and don't touch every file that has been disabled with one or plus "-" in front of it
(better if you delete every one of them).

No problems at all with HSFX...but pay great attention how you put every mod into the MODS folder,
ie the order in which mods are loaded. Normally I put every cockpit mod on top of every aircraft mod to avoid any
conflict.

Many thanks to Anto, DerWustenfuchs, Greif11 and everyone has been involved in this great work!!!

P.s. Thanks Boelcke for your Campaigns and Skins!!!

I have DBW 1.71 and after install this mod straight to #DBW folder I lost all G-10,G-14 and K-4  cockpits.

Edit:
Now i am really confused.Tryied install this to 4.11.1 SASMod 4 in exactly same order as  SAS~Malone .All cockpits worked , but looks like only as from +Combined Bf-109 Cockpits Pack V4_CirXcustom_Lowrez_4.101.When I disable this mod I get Upgraded Greifwerke one,but lost cocpit as above.
BTW:Does  !JCats_Bf109 mean this https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,29193.msg312090.html#msg312090 ?

I have a problem with the Bf 109 E-7 cockpit:

When I open the canopy, I get that strange glitch, also note that the Greifwerke logo on the headrest is upside down. This happens even on DBW 1.71 with only this mod. Thanks for any assistance!

Hi,

I don't know what it's worth but you can take a look at that topic : https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,14968.72.html

It seems there were cockpit issues with DBW and a fix was devised by a guy called TT. Hope this helps

Guys this is not a bad problem, you are not going to fly this bird with the canopy open and the upside down GW Isnt going to hinder your Flights either. One of those things you got to deal with.

Hello! First of all, thankyou for this wonderfull work!
I'm running il2 1964 + DBW1.7.1 + TFM
Now two problems:

1. the bf109 older models have the canopy misplaced. the entire canopy is in middle of cockpit  "floating"

2. the pilot's position in the cockpit seems to change when i install the mod. (it moves a little forward and a little down) i use freetrack so i dont want that. is there a fix?

3. on some planes when i open the canopy it would either get cloned (a static and one that moves) or stuck when the canopy is to fly away

Any fix to these problems? thanks and cheers!

You should try with IL-2 1946!  :D

Seriously ...
I think you have a Mod that parasite that of 109!
Check!

And check that Mod load in first  ...

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLL JUST NOTICED!!!!!!!! YOU'VE JUST MADE MY DAY!!!! xDDDDDDDDDD

I have nothing but the 1946+DBW+TFM. Idk if any mod inside those will damage the cockpits.

Bf-109E4

Do not quote pics !

This looks really gorgeous, but that instrument panel is only valid for the Bf 109E-1 to -3, because from the -4 on the lever for the propeller pitch in the middle of the panel was removed. It was substituted by a switch on the throttle handle, since from that mark on the pitch was controlled automaticly (it could be switched to manual, though).
But I like your pit very much all the same :-)

How can these marvellous works of art be installed into WAW? They work OK using the latest Modact 3.6 in another installation by using the #SAS folder but I notice that C.U.P. uses the 3.5 version so Possibly that is the issue.  I am a newbie around here and still learning.

Thank you

I would believe that you'd just throw the mod into #WAW as you would with anything else, versions shouldn't be an issue I believe, have you tried that?  ;)

I do hope there is a fix for this since this mod is really well done!

EDIT:

The work around I found is rem out the Bf-109 E-7 cockpit in this mod. Apparently the early Bf-109 cockpits are based off of the E-7
