I was successful with harmonizing texture paletes according to Spdr procedure, but it would be useful to emphasize that newer version of GIMP is necessary, in my case the portable 2.6 version. In the formerly used and recommended 2.2 version, you cannot find "Windows" tab. Once tried, the procedure is straightforward and simple.
