It's a really nice paint job and aluminium isn't the easiest to recreate convincingly!

Personally I don't like too much weathering - after all every Japanese aircraft started out shiny and new once...

I like the skin mainly because I built a 1/48 scale shoki from a Hasegawa kit and used the very same colour scheme from a Ki-44 Decal Pack by Eagle Strike!

I never thought I'd get to fly it in IL2!
