Man if only! I mean in perfect world yes of course, but reality is that sometimes you simply have bigger priorities, or a lack of material, or crews are overworked and small details are missed.
I'm really not trying to argue, just saying that this sort of thing is common place in combat environments.

  I,m not trying to argue either Im just saying after thirty years of working on WWII birds from all the nations that participated in the conflict I never witnessed anything like that in these aircraft especially when it came to wiring and other critical items with the aircraft. Most of these birds were disassembled and crated at the end of the war so they came right out of a combat enviornment. I also worked with quite a few WWII era crew chiefs and they all were sticklers for doing things by the book for the above mentioned reasons. Even during combat but if you say thats how it was who am I to argue.

Not that I'd want to be the smart-ass here, but the Wrapper Cache option depends on enabling "Expert Mode" for good reasons.
If you don't know where the cache is located, you should obviously not enable "Expert Mode" thus you'd never be confronted with any issues regarding anything you can't enable then.

Hello. These two p-47s are great! Thank you very much for making them available. I love them.

 I am starting to use them, but I am having a little problem... how do you add a different payload? Specially fuel tanks... I think the 30s and 40s had wing tanks and they also used when nessesary the paper tanks, ect... in China/Japan 1:1 maps you can't make it anywhere on a single 75 tanks! Is it possible to add a payload like this one? Thanks

new payloads require a fair bit of java work, it's not something you can just add.
i don't know if Kumpel is still active here, but he would be the guy to ask.

I am aware it probably is not a 5 minute thing to change payloads.  Is there a tutorial, or a place to "get started" on the basics on working with the specifics of java, related to IL-2?

Wow , now this is special , this is how all a.c in il2 shold be modeled as individual sets , simply outstanding work whish i had come across this sooner.

Is Kumpel still about , I need to ask his permission to upload his mod with my new PW.2800's sound set.....?

This mod is fantastic!  The 3d work is very good, but the start-up sequence is just magnificent!  Would that all IL-2 birds started like that!!
