F-86 mission crash but not game crash
« on: September 09, 2010, 09:06:00 PM »

Hey guys I am currently running HSFX 4.11 and a whole lot of added SAS mods. I added the F-86J along with all the others included in HSFX and for a long time had no problems with it. but now when I try to load any varient of the F-86 I get the message mission loading failed: null at about 30%. Every other plane in the game, including the mig-15 and mig-17 works fine. Does anyone know how to solve this or even what my problem is?

Yes i'm running the latest buttons file and I'm still running into this problem. Everything else in the game works fine save for the F-86

Did you check the air.ini or plane.ru files?
Maybe an error has occured during some plane installlation. Are you sure that you have not got any other plane mod that disabled the F-86J (put a ”//” in front of the particular entry in the respective .ini file)?

I've checked them and there doesn't seem to be a problem. Plus doesn't that usually cause a 60% game crash?

Yes, you are right, they ”usually” cause 60% CTDs. But I have had this problem with the IAR 80 mod from uf_josse, when, after installing the latest Histopack, I forgot to reverify my air.ini entries. The IARs were not there, thus causing my campaign to give me a ”mission loading failed: null” message at the moment when the planes were loaded (30%).
Did you try to reinstall the F-86 mod?

Can I re-install the mod over what already there in HSFX? or do I have to wipe then re-install every mod in that I have on the game?

I had the same 30% ctd null problem.  I could not figure it out so I had to delete the folder and install a backup and that took care of my problem.  I know you probably wanted to hear an easier way to fix the issue, but this is the only way I know how as of now.  Good Hunting!!!
