2 questions about problems on full mission making
« on: September 04, 2010, 08:49:23 AM »

First one: how can i create my own mission with carrier takeoff-start? I've tested it with several different mods, but everyone just causes my AC to explode on the carrier deck when i start the mission.

Second: how can i make my aircraft to start from other areas in the airfield than the runway itself? Non-airfield takeoffs work at least with 1 plane (haven't tested with more) but when i try to drag my aircraft back to the field, and to different location in it than runway, it still spawns me to the runway when i try to play the mission.

I'm using UP 2.01 atm, if it matters.

you do not need any mod to make a carrier start. it is a regular game eature since Pacifi Fighters.

just make a takeoff point on the carrierer and then also "set" it to the carrier in the same window of FMB.

The second part of your Question is here, http://rapidshare.com/files/417370273/Reduced_Airfield_Radius.rar its a Rare Mod and with that you can set your plane take off from where ever you want, Notice : if you are in the airfield and set "Takeoff" it will take you at the start of the runway as usual then set your plane where ever you want :) Just drop it in your Mods Folder !

If I remember right AI can't deal with this mod (in the mean of takeoff point) so if you set more then 1 plane you should set the AI on the runway anyway!

Remeber also that this mod affect saved missions (QMB , single and campaign) so for the best use you should enable/disable at the need!

Ai works Fine and i have try almost everything  :P The only tip is if you use the Frog's Formation Mod the planes in the same flight spwan in formation and not one behind the other but this is not a problem you have to set the planes in "Formation with this mod" and they take off perfect !
