I cant get that freakin game to work no I tryed every advise and give up. The only thing that works is steam downloaded game. cya all in next generation game

  I have 2 partition, XP and Win7, when this happen i restart with another partition, this way i know if the problem is in game or sistem, another sugestion: backup with winrar your MOD folder every time you install mods and all OK.

good to hear the Steam version worked, at least it's inexpensive now.

For anyone else that finds this thread, if you have tried everything else and still cannot run IL-2 due to the disc just spinning, it is likely due to the securom issue mentioned previously.  Review post #12 in the link I provided earlier for the securom fix or find a "replacement" exe that doesn't have the securom issue (they're linked in many forums).
