yeah, UD...  the original code for '46 might have been different, i have no idea as i never played it.  only the modded versions since the original.  but since i've been modding, the code for seaplanes has been as i described above.  now if it was changed or by who...  have no clue.  it's part of the class code described as 'sailplane'...  if you put it in, it will do as mentioned above (and as you've witnessed it now.)  but if you DON'T put the sailplane in...you're in for trouble as the plane will simply land at the first available 'ground' airport/runway then 'ka-blooie!' explode usually or tear the floats off at the least, or if it can't find a ground runway, will simply fly around in circles till the gas is gone.  so the sailplane code (which makes it cut engine and glide in on open ocean landings) has to be there or it's a disaster.

 ;)

one of these days, i'll try to do an update to get a cockpit with aiming reticle, maybe add a few new loadouts as well...but i couldn't say when.  i'm stacked with work up to my eyeballs as it is these days.  but until then, with a bit of practice it's amazing how good you can get shooting from the hip.  after only a few flights, i now torpedo ships almost every run, and am pretty fair at bombing land or stationary targets too.

S!

Highlander, I hope you don't mind a shark nose stuck on this beautiful skin.  She just looked so...tame. :)

Hi mates!

I need a little help to solve a trouble in the trouble!

When I installed first this great bird I got it working without any trouble!

Now , trying to solve major installation trouble , I'm reinstalling all from a basic SAS mod activator 2.2!

Installing this one now give me a memory error at 20% , since I coming from scratch it can't be due some conflict but I believe due some missing arms!

I have installed the all other C47 (plus the float one) , the P2V , the PBN&PBY and the weapons for WWII plane.

Can you point me if this bird use some particular arms?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Walter...  i don't know what to tell you.  it worked fine in all of my tests installations and most of those are virgins (in other words they don't have hardly any other mods installed in them.)  and as far as i know it's not missing anything.  that being said, i think i got most of the weapons from the Swordfish files...so if you haven't already, make sure the Swordfish is in the game and working properly.  if it is, i don't know what else to tell you.  if you don't have the Swordfish, putting that in the game might help.

also, i know you know better, but 'recheck' your install to make sure you don't have a folder inside of a folder in the plane part of the mods folder.  let me know if you don't get it going and i'll snoop around some more to see if i can see anything else.  good luck.

Thanks mate for your very appreciated help!

Something missing was the right road!

Infact I haven't yet installed the Swordfish on my new jewel (I'm going into alphabetica order!)

As I arrive at the 'S' (I'm at the 'C' now) I'll reable your birds and report!

Thanks again!

All the best!
