Spitfire Mk.I Template, A&A





This Spitfire Mk I template has been built from Jesters-Ink's Mk V template as a base using 96th_NightShifter's Internals to get the best possible result. The aim of this template is to provide skinners, old or new, the option to skin one the best known and most beautiful aircraft of WWII. I have made the template as user friendly as possible to make it easier for new skinners to use however, this by no means, means that skinning with it will be easy. Mastering the difficult warping of codes takes time and lots a patience,but I have included a set of markings guides (based off Kristorfs) and a UVW Mapping render of the tail section of the aircraft to make it easier to understand.

This template features:

Accurate Mk I Panel lines and Rivets
New 3D Lighting
Optional Metal Stress effects
Marking guidelines
Accurate internals
and a user friendly layout.

In 1937 the government of Estonia ordered twelve Spitfire Mk.I's from the UK.

They would never serve in Estonia, but finally in 1939 the 260th and 261st production aircraft L1046 and L1047 were earmarked for the Estonian contract.  As events in Europe unfolded they were delivered into storage at St Athan.  It has been written that one or both aircraft were actually painted ready for delivery, however, no photographic evidence has ever surfaced to confirm this.  This is my take on the scheme which may have been applied.  Eleven more to go for a full what if pack.

Now where did I put that what if campaign I started years ago?
