Hi everyone,
and first, sorry for the lack of updates, sometimes is difficult to have time for all the things you have to do, even more for what you'd like to do just for the fun of it...
Also having so much projects started ( wich sometimes I've seen could be a nightmare, as some others modders tried to warn me) makes that, when you concentrate in one or two, the others may wait and rest till their turn comes again, so things go slowly in the meantime with little progress to show, really.
In this case of the Arado 96, the references and drawings I had when started the model wasn't the better, but as I like this bird, I went ahead with what I got. Then I had a very good help offer so I stopped the modelling at this point and put in the fridge, as I'm waiting for some resources/more detailed info to come, about some of the versions (about the Ar96B-1, Ar96B-3, Ar96B-6 and Ar96B-7) to avoid or at least, minimize, the eventual rework of the model, and to incorporate the necessary changes and corrections needed, before going too far.
As some time has passed-by already, actually I'm considering to give up with the waiting and keep going ahead with what I previously got.
Anyway, one way or the other, my intention is to make:
-a basic Ar-96B-1
unarmed fighter pilot advanced trainer,
Argus 410 engine, the current one in the screenshots
and if everything goes well with this, later a
- Ar-96B-3
this is the version with Revi C/12C gunsight,
MG 17 in the right side of cowling with 500 rounds, for gunnery practice,
ESK 2000 gun-camera on starboard side, beside the cockpit
and one ETC 50/VIII c -for bombing practice with 50 kg bombs- under each wing
@ Godzyla, Verhängnis, razor1uk,
Related to arrestor hook test, I think it was called Arado 96T ( the only photos I've seen were those that comes with Flugzeug Profile 43), but at the moment I have no plan to such a version, (I already have the TMP syndrome: Too Much Projects!) sincerelly, I'll be glad with just a finished B-1 before that.
But... I had to admit that with the recent projects about new german carrier airplanes I think it would fine to have such a version in the future as it looks suitable and interesting for carrier operations training.
And not exactly what A1_Phoenix asked, but, maybe the export version for Bulgaria also would have some atractive as it has the plus of a rear MG 15 open position in a Kurbellafette type K mounting, the same as in the Arado 95, another project of mine, so maybe some mesh-transfer would be possible to be done between these models in time, but don't know for sure, just thinking out loud.
Thanks, razor1uk for the images, (I already have those but I apreciate the same) and for the sugestions, (I didn't knew about the strafing MG being used in this model) I'd like to have a basic model finished without "extras" first, and later begin to complicate things a little, so maybe then your ideas would be handy.
Thanks archie1971 for the link, I also have this one already (is one of my main sources plus a couple of manuals), but some little help is always apreciatte, mate.
I don't know when it will be finished, so I can't provide a date for that, sorry.
And thanks Flak and Malone for support and help with your comments to calm things down.
Thanks everybody for the comments and suggestions!

PS: Little offtopic myself: About the Bu 181 Bestmann basic training aircraft reconverted to anti-tank duties late in the war, (trials started in mid-March 1945 at Rebblin) in reality, it was armed with 4 Panzerfaust, 2 above, and 2 below each wing. (but seems like some unit only mounted the bottom ones)
They were fired by means of a cable pulled from the cockpit. You can see the wire running in top of the wing in these shots:

Even some Panzerjagdstaffeln were formed equiped with this plane, under the command of Luftflotte Reich.
The tactics employed give me shivers: extreme low flying at maximun speed (210km/h) to, and from the target, at 500 m from it, pull up to 20-30m, go to shalow dive, and at 150-200m from the target, fire the 4 Panzerfaust at once. Before reaching 200m from target abrupt manouver to avoid your own explosions making the hardest turn (at around 205 km/h) and run back for cover again at low altitude and maximun speed... fewww, sounds soo boring...
PS2: I'm sorry and ashamed for hijacking my own thread,

so I will think in some approppiate punishment.. unch! such a bad boy you are...
