I have never noticed that before (depending on how i was playing with this mod):

AI will not attack on its own when X4homing as loadout selected!  the same with teh Lerche and the Me-262.
I had a clean UP2.01 with just these MODS enabld so no other influences.

QMB Misson, 2 183 against 4 A-20, let autopilot play. It passes by the enemy as if nothing happens. when I switch off auto pilot and command my wingman to attack though, he uses his rockets to attack.

is this known yet?!
has anybody experienced the same?

Hello vampire-pilot,

i know this problem from the Go-229A-2 and Go-229A-NJG Mod:

There is the same problem. Not solved.

Cheers !

hm, hm, yeah, but not exactly the same since these planes are supposed to be X4 planes, the 229 not.

actually with the lerche, when i select regular x4 all works normal, the AI attacks.
the ta 183 even then fails to attack.
and only on orders uses the X4.

the 229s AI won't use x4 at all.
maybe the same background though... can't be helped it seems, so you hav ethe same effect with these mods at least? jsut to make sure it is not me alone.

I think, I figured out the source of this issues. Will fix it over some time (except 229).
Game developers used some trick on Ta-183 to make AAM's launch one-by-one (not salvo), side effect is the AI "thinks" the plane has bombs and thus not attacks without immediate threat or direct order.

i noticed actually that the the Go-229 actually *will* launch the x4s but only on close range, in parallel to using it's guns.

AI deploys it as regular direct fire rockets.

I did some research on Ta-183 and now think there is probably nothing wrong with the plane. More likely there is some fault in game AI.
Curious, if just one missile is in payload (and no fake bombs), AI will attack w/o order.
