S! these missions are "old!"
i mean old. i actually wrote them for the very first and original IL2 game so many years ago. but old does not mean outmoded or bad...i just got thru playing them again and they were just as exciting to me now as they were way back in the day. lol! and they play 'very' well with the newer version of the game...ie UP2.01, etc.
basically my original idea was to creat a series of missions against the backdrop of a 'mysterious' river... ie, Danger River. i think i did fairly good. btw, these are Russians vs Germans (and their allies.)
i wrote them as ONLINE coops but i play them OFFLINE by using the create server/coop, then selecting the folder Danger River and selecting the missions. i like this way of playing offline much better as it gives you the choice of side/position/plane you want to fly rather than locking you into side/position/plane like real single missions do. naturally they 'can' be used online as well.
WARNING. if you try to change anything in these missions inside of the FMB...you'll completely erase the description/notes of the mission. if you need to make a change, you can do it in Notepad 'outside' of the game. opening these missions (due to their age) in FMB could very well ruin the missions. just letting you know.
these are 'not' historical...but the planes and equipment are...and they can be great fun. also, expect super high frame rates as these were made on the 'old' maps. i hope you enjoy them.
