Aviator Mod Team - A-20H Havoc Version 1
« on: May 31, 2010, 02:51:24 PM »

The Aviator Mod Team presents the A-20H Havoc!

The A-20H was almost exactly the same aircraft as the A-20G-45 with a single exception -- an upgraded engine. By the time the H model was ready for its production run to begin, the Wright R-2600-23 Cyclone was out of production because an improved version was available, the R-2600-29. The new engine produced 100 more hp during takeoff and gave the A-20H slightly better performance than the equivalent late model A-20G.

Douglas built 412 H models in its Santa Monica, Calif. plant for use in both the European and Pacific Theaters. Some A-20Hs were transferred to the Soviet Air Force under Lend-Lease agreements.

Features:
New Realistic FM with uprated engine and weight change
Opening canopy (Internal and External)

Download Here

Readme is included in the download. You can find all the file entries there. You will not need a new buttons file as this uses DiffFM. We intend to make a version later which will use the SAS buttons file for those who don't want to use DiffFM.

If you do not have DiffFM, then you will need to download it. See this thread: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,3988.0.html
To check if you have DiffFM search your MODS folder for this file "294ABC86A89FAEB4". If you don't have that file then please go and download it via the thread above.

Saw this story today about an A-20 and thought it would be cool if someone might skin both versions of the Douglas A-20 "The Steak and Egg Special"

The Rushey Platt test pilot (name withheld for security reasons) has just walked back into the office following his first flight in the Havoc H. He's grinning like a cheshire cat. He admts he doesn't know how accurate the flight model is but it certainly came across as very convincing. Good work, chaps.

Roundels ?
Tail flashes & roundels for RAF is my hobby ;)
Please look at this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Air_Force_roundels
I tried all possible PaintScheme for A-20H
https://www.mediafire.com/file/yzznrkzjvml/A_20H.ZIP
and can't find proper solution for RAF, USAAF and VVS in one file.
I can't add screenshots:
11 class files x 3 countries (RAF, USAAF, VVS) x 2 (MAT/ noMAT users) = 66 screenshots
I can suggest to try files:
E3425DDCB5467DE2FM04
E3425DDCB5467DE2FM05
E3425DDCB5467DE2FM06
for RAF, but changing default skin with tailflashes.

E3425DDCB5467DE2BM04
for USAAF looks "promising" but ....
We have no satisfactory solution for USAAF:
I can "display" stars used 8/42 - 6/43 only
A-20H was used after this dates.

How to use?
- backup Your original E3425DDCB5467DE2 file to E3425DDCB5467DE2ORG
- unpack A_20H.zip to temporary directory
- rename file, from temporary directory, for example:
  E3425DDCB5467DE2FM06 to E3425DDCB5467DE2
- copy E3425DDCB5467DE2 to original location
- start the game and rate the usefulness of PaintSheme for RAF, USAAF, VVS.
- enjoy.

Name_convention and more  are explained in:
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,3146.0.html
Please look at left side:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/lzerl3mddnj/PaintScheme.JPG
There is a "variable" called
PaintSchemeFMPar00 to PaintSchemeFMPar06 for fighters
PaintSchemeBMPar00 to PaintSchemeFMPar05 for bombers

Class files from A_20H.zip pack contains almost all possible Paintchemes defined in game code (please look at right side https://www.mediafire.com/file/lzerl3mddnj/PaintScheme.JPG )
This class files are named accordingly:
E3425DDCB5467DE2FM00 "contains"  PaintSchemeFMPar00 "variable"
E3425DDCB5467DE2FM01 "contains"  PaintSchemeFMPar01 "variable", etc.
We can "implements" only one PaintScheme for A_20H in game.
Original E3425DDCB5467DE2 "contains" PaintSchemeFMPar05 "variable"
and is named E3425DDCB5467DE2BM05Original in my pack (another copy of original - for security).
Types and colors of signs, marking, tactical numbers or letters, for each country, depending on *.tga files from Your ..\Regiments directory and *.mat files.
Not only MAT users have possibility to "manualy" change *.mat files from ..\CoopRegt or ..\Cache directory
- and I can't say:
>>E3425DDCB5467DE2..FM00 = GB-Rdl 1941 dark numbers<<
is true  ::)
