This's a misconduct. Violators will be shot, and Peace and Order will be restored throughout the Galaxy  8)

I'm already have Ta-183 mod, maded for AAA, in guest section, and really going to upgrade it with new technology. This's logical.

Meanwhile I did some upgrade to Me-262 mod, using the same technology I invented for He-111H6 mod.

X-7 loadouts added to "Sturmvogel" weapon list. X-7 is a ground attack version of X-4 AAM. For player there is not much difference with X-4 (X-7 does not have proximity fuse, for example), but AI can use it as stand-off weapon against ground & naval targets.

X-4 fire & forget AAM's guiding circuit now uses target trajectory predictor. Check the difference.
Locking mechanism for X-4 series upgraded with line-of-sight targeting technology, padlock is no longer need to lock specified air TGT. Now U can just look at it with bad intentions, pull the trigger and feel the true power of the Dark Side  ;)

Radar-based rangefinder upgraded with same technology. It will track range to the air TGT U looking at.

uhm Mr. Twister, Sir, while we are takling upgrading the wepons of 46ish planes... would you like to do it for the lovely Lerche too? Seems fitting. True interceptor.

I have some ideas about Lerche, not only weapons. As soon as'll deal with one thing ...  ::)

uhh, one more thing I just discovered, that the regular 262A2a with bombs loadout does allways come with RATO now.

This is a thing I dislike. Could this be an option here?
There are some missions out there that rely on the long and slow takeoff of this bird. with this mod enabed they do not work anymore. For example I right now play "Battle over bavaria" where a loaden A2a is supposed to hit an obstacle on the runway to simulate Steinhoffs accident.
This now just not works anymore.
I took me a few looks to figure out why all of a sudden the bird that never made it is now jumping over the obstacle...

Can standard loadouts of stock birds be not modded but the new ones added as options?

Least expected issue, that it turn up to be too good  8)

It's tricky, but I will see, what I can do. It's a separate task - to make RATO as option.
For the present, U can temporarily disable the mod by adding a '-' symbol before mod directory name, like "-Me-262".

Me-262 HGII new features

Gyro-gunsight now working as in Ta-183 mod (http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,7012.0.html).
It adjusts range to the target automatically, sight range controls used to switch IFF requester modes.

IFF requester, depending on the set mode, switching gunsight visual modes to prevent frendly fire.
IFF requester modes:

IFF NO check       - no IFF check performed (IFF requester off);
IFF check FRIEND - IFF requester switches off gunsight gyro mode, if friendly plane comes in sight (default mode);
IFF check FOE     - IFF requester switches on gunsight gyro mode, only if enemy plane comes in sight, else U just see fixed reticle.

Now AI is competent in using homing & guided AAM's. AI will use it not only against bombers, but also against fighters, when fire solution exist.
If AI opponent armed with guided X4 - just don't fly stright. However, with homing X4 veteran & ace AI can be extremely dangerous up to 4-5 km's, for bombers - up to 7 - 10 km's.

By some reason, when AI armed with weapon configuration with two guns (other two removed), it is more agressive and commits attack of enemy fighter by itself. In other cases direct order may be requred, if guided missiles is carried.

AI "understands" difference between different missiles types and commits attacks accordingly.

Watch your 6 !

P.S. And 12 too.

Also, new X-7 loadouts added to Me-262 HGII weapon list.

X-7 Steinbock IR-guided AGM is targeted by padlock or line of sight direction (LOS). LOS targeting working either for inside(cockpit) or outside views.
AGM will steer yourself to illuminated ground (preferably) target, target can be changed anytime by switching padlock target or by just changing LOS.
Missile can be launched preliminarily. No IFF check performed for ground targets, so check your fire.

Homing (fire&forget) X-7 AGM can be locked by using padlock, or just by looking at desired target. Closest to the LOS visible ground target will be locked at launch (target have not to be obscured by anything). If target is lost prior hit, closest one will be acquired automatically. No IFF check performed for ground targets, so check your fire.
Unfortunately, I failed to implement LOS targeting to naval targets, so closest ship in fore 45-degree angle will be locked.

EDIT: AI now commits stand-off attacks with X-7 series AGMs against ground targets in more realistic way.
         Also, some weapon configurations added, minor fixes to fire solution calculation maded.
