Pat Pattle's aircraft
« on: May 27, 2010, 03:47:08 PM »

Here 2 scale models of "Pat" Pattle's aircraft that he flew in Africa (80 sqdrn) and Greece (33 Sqdrn). The models will be used in a movie on SA aces that I am currently busy with:

Hurricane in 1:24

Gladiator in 1:48

Great work ;)

Is that pilot actually him? because his head-gear is interesting, in that it's an unusual combination :) Yep there goes my nerdy side again. :P

EDIT_it's a greenscreen. That's a nice set-up you have there ;) Certainly of the era, damned good show m8 :D

Ben, you are correct, the Type B helmet and E* mask is a strange combo but Stephen from Sefton clothing assured me that sometmes this was worn by adding extra press studs to the helmet. The D oxygen mask complete was just too expensive!

But thanks to your recommendation in the RAF reenactment forum to get the stuff from Sefton....he did a wonderfull job.
