Hs-123 New Slot
 
This is one of the mods Vtrelut from C6 send us with best wishes. This is the franken Hs-123 by Ranwers. However, it now has it's own slot from Chameleon at Aviaskins, and I have added its own cockpit mesh (it is still the C-42's, but it is seperate now, so modders can go at it. I have replaced the gunsight with a german one for starters)
It also has its own FM in our buttons.

I have fixed the invulnerable fuselage issue, where you could always survive any crash in the fuselage. You will now die if you fly into the ground!

I have not fixed the issue of the plane not smoking when the engine is damaged. Someone else can tacle that. I did remove the belly tank. This is as far as I go with this one, I hope another mdder can grab it and carry on, or make us a brand new one.

There are of course still a few issues with this one, the wire stiffners floating in space, the unattached propellor...all from the original mod, and not enough to diminish the coolness of the plane, but I mention it here, because I bet you all there will be some idiot who does not bother to read this, and complains about it further down in the thread

to install, extract with 7zip, and put in mods folder (at the right depth...mods/hs123/3do..ect.) and add these lines to your air.ini file:

Hs-123         air.HS123 2                          NOINFO  g01   SUMMER

you will need the united buttons v0.01 or later.

But in this way the tank will always show even if you didn't select it. For a cleaner solution you will need a class file modification.

Old Hs123 it is necessary to remove, then to put new.
If old Hs123 worked normally problems should not be...

I have no problem loading this into my "MODS" folder and getting it to fly. The problem is in the Java file "56BE429C6651D836", it says "standart" instead of "default" which stops it from loading into any mission or campaign that uses the Hs-123 and the "default" load.

If someone can fix that, it will allow this version of the Hs-123 to advance.

and  there are none problems in QMB, even with "Standard" instead of "Default".
Does the problem concern only other missions and campaigns?

Checkyersix was kind enough to correct the Java file that marks the "default" weapons for the Hs-123.

Just substitute this Java file for what is in the Russian Hs-123 mod and it will change the wording from "standart" back to "default": http://www.mediafire.com/?nzejmwywnoi

I was wondering if this version has been updated with the new weapons, as per the Aviaskins model? Their link not working anymore, and this mod seems to have passed me buy.

It's a franken plane so suffers from frankenisms. Unless someone was to build a completely new model I think you'll have this issue indefinately IIRC.
