1920x1080 not working
« on: January 09, 2016, 12:05:07 PM »

hi guys I have a problem with il2 1946. I can't change my resolution to 1920x1080, I did try to change it in the config file but that didn't help. this is how it looks like in game.

Can someone help me?

You have this entries in your "conf.ini"?

Code: [Select]
[window]
width=1920
height=1080
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0

In case the above suggestion doesn't help, perhaps your conf.ini is still 'only read'?
Right click on the conf.ini icon, select Properties and uncheck Only Read.
Press Apply and OK.

Dunno whether it helps you, but mine works fine with these settings:

Quote
[window]
width=1920
height=1080
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=0
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0
EnableClose=0
WideScreenFoV=1
UIColor=4
UIDetail=0
UIBackground=rnd
Use3RendersUI=0

UF! This exactly what happened to my laptop when I upgraded it from win 7 to win10.
Did you do that too by any chance?  o_O

Didn't work I don't know why it is really weird.

In the first place, what PC environment do you use ?

Desktop or Tower PC with an independent LCD monitor ?
Notebook PC?
What is the monitor's native resolution ? 1920x1080? or bigger? smaller like 1366x768?
What video card or what internal video chip does your PC have?
You say OS is Windows8.... so what resolution do you set as your windows desktop?

I have a laptop, video card is a GeforceGTX 850M, with a intel i5 core. Screen resolution is 1920x1080.

... are you sure your laptop is actually using the GeforceGTX 850M and NOT any other default video chip ...?

I believe you can check this in the bios ...  ;)
