Slovakia Autumn

Hi all,

With 4.13 release, i remembered that I made a retextured version years ago, but never released it.
[Last days I reworked a bit textures, but quality is still lower than original at low alt. flight (I just altered extracted original textures from 4.08 SFS), and forest still shows texture repetitions when view at some angles -still working on it) So don't expect same quality that the TD 4.13 autumn map, it's just a map for fun]
I don't know if it is realistic for autumn in Slovakia, but it's just a different map, fun to fly, and I thought some of you could be interested.

Installation:
1- Drop "_tex" and "Slovakia_Autumn" folders in your moded maps folder (Il-2/Mods/mapmods/maps)
2- Add this line to your "all.ini" file (Il-2/Mods/mapmods/maps): Slovakia_Autumn Slovakia_Autumn/load.ini

Drop the "Slovakia_Autumn" folder in your QuickQMBPro folder (Il-2/missions/QuickQMBPro)

Hi, tried this in quickmissions in dbw 1.71 and a sas modact 4.12 install and get the error:Mission Loading Failed Landscape error in IL2 1946. Any ideas or fix? Thanks.

It means that you might have installed it incorrectly or a texture is missing.
Select the map in FMB and after getting the error hit Alt Tab and scroll down to the bottom. Make a screenshot and post it here. So we can see what went wrong.

EDIT:
I see why you get the 'Mission Loading Failed Landscape error'.
There is an error in the load.ini.

Change the lines:
Wood0 = MayBug/nweurope/Autumn/106_A.tga  //forest/summer/sk_ForestGr.tga
Wood1 =
Wood2 = MayBug/nweurope/Autumn/foret2.tga  //forest/summer/sk_ForestFar.tga
Wood3 =


into:

Wood0 = Slovakia_Autumn/106_A.tga

Hi Toobone,

sorry, but I don't understand your post.

This is not a new map, everything is stock except textures I altered, and autumn trees that are from me.
I know colors are certainly not realistic for this season in Slovakia, but, as said in 1st post, it is just a map for fun, to fly over something different.

In your 3rd picture, I don't understand what you are showing, since this should be present in every Slovakia map because texture placement is done by map_T, wich I didn't rework ...

P.S: For people who want to change trees in 4.13 stock map, open your "load_autumn.ini" file and locate the line : "Tree0 = Trees/sk_AlteredBush8a.tga", and change "sk_AlteredBush8a.tga" to the trees file you want (They are usually located in "mods/mapmods/maps/_Tex/Trees". Have a look here and choose the trees files you want).
