Updated with the Mk.24.

It should work without the Neptune now.

Excellent! I have all of the other C-47 mods installed and even though this post advises the Flareship is mainly for AI, imagine my surprise to find this one perfectly flyable, with a C-47 cockpit and armed with flares, Bloody Marvelous!

Well.........

I downloaded this...... and then went through the usual procedure for installing 'mods'.

Wow........ now when I try to either start a mission or go to qmb........ the result is something like ........ loading simulation...... and then it drops back to the desktop.

I made a restore point before installing this mod..... as I do with all additions to games. But, going back to pre 'flareship' doesn't make any difference.

So I went into the 'program'.......... in 'mods' I deleted the 'folder'........ in air.ini I deleted the lines for the ac type..... and the same with anywere else I could find anything related to this mod...... no luck.........

I"ve now gone back through at least a dozen restore points for IL2 related mods and there is no change..........

Any ideas?

This plane is a very small mod, only two hashfiles are within this mods folder... so eventually check them with this tool:

I believe that there is any other reason for the CTD....

agreed, buddy...  i too believe there is another problem somewhere.  even if the mod had crashed the game, removing (if done correctly) would have straightened the problem right out.  the files do no lasting harm even if there is a conflict.  once removed, any conflict vanishes.  least it always has for me.

Yes, removing the mod folder and a/c from the air.ini should remove any conflicts caused by this mod. The problem must be somewhere else.

Hello....

I agree............ there must be something else wrong.

It was probably just a coincidence, that I was installing a mod at the time.

But, just in case, I'll do a system scan for anything 'malicious' that might have hitched its way into my system.

This is a 'new one' to me. I've never seen this type of error before.

Thanks for the feedback guys, confirms what I thought, onto the scans and a restore of an earlier configuration.
