I have one bug, the touch sound of wheels at landing only with the E4, not the F4, K4, Spit Vb, P51B, D9, Ta152 (didn't test other AC yet)

Do you have it also ?

EDIT :

Tiger has just given me the answer:

It all depends on the way you land, too fast and no sound .. and Tiger is not responsible for it, the culprit lies somewhere in the game code ... ;)

Holy cow, I really do have a woody now!  ;D

I've just got '0_New Sounds + Flyby' with the classfiles from CirX's 'SAS TigerMod Patch' on top of my stock SAS .sfs sounds...

And it is goood!

Just flew an awesome mission in my DCG Normandy '44 campaign - no 'Hook:' errors!

Thanks Tiger, Mick, Claymore and everyone who worked bringing this to us, and thanks CirX for doing your thing.

This game really is the sh1t!

I'm off to tweak my conf.ini until it's just right, and then I'm telling all my mates! Even my wife likes it!!   ;D

Only a question using CirX patch for UV2:

Do we have to mantain the UV2 preload file or can we use the UP2.0 preload file to get Tiger sounds + Flyby working?

I have read about new buttons, new File folder content and new Java files in MODS\Flyby, etc folder.

But, and the preload file?

Thanks in advance.

na, I think you can happily ditch it. In fact, if you want to be 100% on installation, then put the whole "files" folder from the UV2 mod, (minus the preload thingy) inside your mods folder, and rename the "files" folder it came in inside the mod, to whatever you want...likr

MODS/Renamed_Files_Folder/samples...

For what it's worth folks, these are the conf.ini settings I like after mucking about a bit:

[HookViewFly Config]
timeFirstStep=2.9   <------------- this synchronizes the flyby camera and the sound sample, same as Tigers'
deltaZ=05.0     <------------ this positions the camera in relation to the plane - I've got it so the plane 'swoops' in nice and close

I've got my sound same as Tigers' conf.ini edits, except the MusFlags - I changed it to get CirX's cool immersion wind sound mod back.  You also get back your menu music:

[sound]
SoundUse=1
SoundEngine=1
Speakers=0
Placement=0
SoundFlags.reversestereo=0
RadioFlags.Enabled=1
RadioEngine=2
MusicVolume=1   <---------- this one turns the music right down for that nice subtle wind effect
ObjectVolume=14
MusState.takeoff=1
MusState.inflight=1
MusState.crash=1
MusFlags.play=1    <------- this one turns the music back on
MasterVolume=14
Attenuation=7
SoundMode=0
SamplingRate=1
NumChannels=0
SoundExt.occlusions=1
SoundFlags.hardware=0
SoundFlags.streams=1
SoundFlags.duplex=1
SoundExt.acoustics=0
SoundExt.volumefx=1
SoundFlags.voicemgr=0
SoundFlags.static=1
VoiceVolume=6    <------------- this one turns down the radio volume a bit
Channels=2
SoundExt.extrender=0
SoundFlags.bugscorrect=0
SoundSetupId=8
ActivationLevel=0.02
Preemphasis=0.85
RadioLatency=0.5
AGC=1
PTTMode=1
SoundFlags.UseRadioChatter=0
SoundFlags.AutoActivation=0
RadioFlags.PTTMode=0
RadioFlags.PlayClicks=0
ActLevel=0
MicLevel=0
SoundFlags.forceEAX1=0

for those who have problems with messages like "cannon dump01" or other ...you can remove
these 3 files in the directory "0_NewSounds + Flyby"

49573BB01D17442A
98BEEEBA358B21AC
3C0302F29925BF74

But then you hear again the sound of weapons ennemy from the cockpit view but in a smaller radius has the original by settings done in the "presets".

For those who find the volume too low engine from the cockpit view
you download this:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GG79TLJ8

and you put these two "class" in "0_NewSounds + Flyby" instead of old.
I also balanced the volume from the external view at one time for all engines by modifying these files..

Here a patch for all error messages like "Mgun dump 01 not found" (so you will not hear the enemies weapons from the cockpit view as in the original UV2 mod).
I also corrected my first modification on volume engine from internal view (there was also a big bug sorry...)

Put this "class" in the folder "0_New Sounds + Flyby".

Well I may as well chime in and say thanks Tiger33 for slaving away for so long at these magnificent engine notes. They're really quite special and I'm sure that some of them were a massive challenge as your source files were likely from many different media and some probably needed a lot of cleaning up before you had anything useable. Obviously a labor of love.

I've seen some of these aircraft in flight in real life and your work matches the real thing quite admirably.

Nice Job and thanks for an awesome mod.
