I have scoured the internet and forums to find little info on this problem.

I have DBW 1.71 and have edited the conf.ini file correctly for everything in IL2 to read as english.
Since installing 1.71 though (almost) all of the single player mission briefs are in russian.  I cannot find a solution other than the game is looking at the _ru mission file (under \missions), not the english format. 

My Question:
Is there ANY other option besides copy/paste text from english to overwrite the russian file...this will take a while.
Can I just delete the _ru missions and expect the game to then read the eng format?  (I have heard no)
