Fantastic map, perhaps my favorite of all maps!

But I'm having a really big problem with AI routines on the airfields - if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, takeoffs are the primary problem...aircraft spawn in staggered formation nearly off the airfield entirely. A/C spawn so far back, fighters in #4 slot will always crash into a tree or something and explode on takeoff.

Second problem...trying to get more than 1 flight of aircraft to takeoff...for example two flights of four aircraft, the aircraft will all spawn on top of one another and explode instantly.

Problem is, I'm building a campaign for this map and already spent considerable amount of time working on it...only to find out these problems with AI when testing them.

If anyone can PLEASE help it would be greatly appreciated. I'm using 1.36 and the summer map with unpopulated airfields...

Hm, could you perhaps send me some missions that are problematic so I can have a look? I was testing the airfields with some slooow bombers (ju88 i think) and did not have any problems spawning up to 8 (or more) of them. So, missionss, pretty please :)

Sorry for delay Zuti...having major CTD problems with sim right now after replacing my old 109F Jabos with the ones from this site.

Working through the problem right now, once I get it sorted, I will post contents of my .mis file here.

OK, Zuti...restart from ground up for me here and Slovenia is very first map to be installed for my new mod install 8)

Working on it now and hopefully things will all work out...

OK, tested AI routines and it looks good so far! Tested for multiple flight t/o and it's all working right it seems.

Good news but still a long way to go to get everything back...

Zuti,

Is there any way to remove the trees from the runways when using the highest conf.ini settings? Forest=3 I think?

It spawns the trees all over the runways unfortunately.

I'm trying to populate the airfields and add some runways and perimeter roads in a way that will allow the AI to complete their landing and taxi routines as well...had to completely scrap my earlier build unfortunately.

Forest=0 will shut off auto-tree's

Modifying the load.ini can shut them off also
adding a ,2 to the end of a texture name string will then not allow the auto-tree's to show on that texture

This needs to be done in the load.ini under [Fields] to which ever texture you want to eliminate tree's being produced on
 
Note,
while in Unlocked FMB you will still see tree's on this texture,
but once in game there will be no tree's on that texture.

Example:
Airfield0= land/summer/sk_LowLand0.tga,2

This would make sk_lowland0.tga to have no tree's if this texture was painted over the area of an airfield
Then build your airfield on top of this texture for an tree free airfield  :D
