IL2 Selector crashing

To think I'd ever need to be in Tech Help lol!  ::)  :D

So I just installed modact 3.06 with the latest buttons and IL-2 selector and it was working fine, but now it crashes at 29% (Landscape) QMB mission loading and gives this error:

'Il-2 6Dof/TIR Enabled Executable for Modded Il-2 Sturmovik 1946 has stopped working'
I don't use 6DOF but I noticed there are files for it in the JSGME folder - no matter what I select though it doesn't resolve it. -.-

Ignore the 6Dof/TIR error message. It means the same thing as "il2fb.exe has stopped working."
Other than that I can't help you :P

Ok, I disabled all my mods (JSGME + #SAS) and it was just some sort of conflict, I haven't checked what though. Now I can't use any visual effects, they should load and they do work on my ModAct 2.72 install with 4.101 in exactly the same circumstances but not this time. aghh, it's all become so complicated now.  >:(

I've had the same problem too with DBW but I can't remeber how I solved that. Try to enable 6dof in your selector and also activate TrackIR classes in your JSGME. It was something like this what I've did but I'm really not sure

There is no option to enable TrackIR/6DOF in the selector, only mods activated through JGSME, but I downloaded a lot of mods last night and just chucked most of them in, and I think some are incompatible with eachother because when everything is disabled the game can launch properly, I just haven't found out what mods are conflicting yet.


But none of the mods I add into JSGME and activate actually work...or only some of them...

I also get this error logged:

"Cannot setup 3d algorithm.Settings will be reset to DEFAULT."  ::) Now I remember why I stopped playing.

that's really weird, mate - never seen a message like that before, and have no idea how to advise on it, i'm afraid.
i'm thinking that Storebror(Mike) might be able to help....?

First of all it has nothing to do with the selector. Full stop.

Line 861 of the unmodified Mission class reads:

      World.wind().set(f1, f2, f3, f4, f5);
Which means that either you have some mod which replaces the Mission class itself with a buggy one, or you have some mod which replaced the World class with a buggy one. Wind/Atmosphere mod anyone? I remember there have been some WIPs for this.

This message definitely isn't from the stock game (and neither from the selector or anything else related to it).
Pablo's Stereo mod? Just a guess...

Without mod? No.
Regarding that 3D error log line I'd rather treat
00 SSE2+SSE3+SSE4+Light v.1 beta (4 101)
suspect.

Rule of thumb: In case of trouble, deactivate custom mods first.

I am having this same exact problem -
WITH UP3 4.10.1 - I'm running a Radeon 5700 display graphics card, 7 Gig Ram, - should I have the game on Direct X or Open GL setting in the video options?

otherwise I have a mod conflict and I have spent 3 days without any luck looking for the MOD that is causing the problem.

the only things in my JSGME menu that are selected is the perfect landscape textures and the UP3 mod.
In the game start up exe. on the desktop I have "Ultrapack 3" 128mb selected - when I launch the game is this correct?

Change the ram settings to atleast 1 Gig, it just seems to be crashing because the allocated memory is far too low - you may even be able to go higher than that.
