Planes missing...
« on: April 04, 2012, 09:09:59 AM »

Hello everybody

I'm just working through my Air.ini list of a fresh installed DBW install.
But i noticed that several planes like the Ar-196T-0 or some bf-109 versions, which where available un UP3RC4 and are also listed in the planr_ru aren't listet in the air.ini ....
now my question: why aren't those planes in the air.ini

because their slots have been merged to save java memory.
they are not "missing", they have been "removed on purpose"
...as has been discussed and is written in the documentation.

they have been merged because many planes were extremely similar. (987456 variants of 109s before the merge, only 36 after the merge, still the same loaouts and stuff.)
This saves space.
That space will be used to implement other things  (68731 Spitfires and 55 types of Wellingtons and 99 Variants of Dutch Fokkers...)

so no.

you can still install mod aircraft though if you want to do it manually.

In some case you have to add manually the line in the air.ini, some aircraft are hidden in the sfs file,
Please read the DBW1.7 documentation ;)
