Outstanding! Big fan of the desert conflict and P40F was a major player in North Africa. Looking forward to flying this tonight.

S~ Kayara
I have loved the P40 ever since I was a kid sitting on the river bank with my dad while we fished and watched the P-40 show.
The young WW2 pilots in training would break off & fly under the train bridge & then, at full power fly right past us at around 20 feet.   They were below the tree line & the power from those engines would almost lift us off of the ground.  The sound was deafining.

We could see the pilots very well about 40 feet in front of us.
An awsome sight that I well always remember.

I love the way you fine tuned the P-40...

thanks and S!

I must have made a mistake with the LODs then. If you open up the offending mesh file in a text editor, you can change them very easily and save. Just give it the default values you have shown

The value are:
25-125-150
or
25-125-150-200???

any interest in a small mod to "add" additional P-40L Merlin engined loadouts?

the later P-40 versions had (as just about everybody knows) wing hardpoints for military stores...usually light bombs.  but they could (and sometimes did) mount wing tanks as well.  not very common and the usual pictures you see of wartime P-40s is with just a belly tank...  however, they did, on occasion, modify and strap on 'other' tanks and or 'other' types of underwing stores.  i have some nice pictures in one of my older aircraft books of a late model P-40 being ferried into China (from a base in India) with three droptanks fitted.  it must have been a "dog" to fly with all that weight and the emptying tanks sloshing fuel around in them while flying over the mountains...but i guess/hope the pilot made it!   :o

1x250lb plus two wing tanks

2x250lb plus belly tank

2x wing tanks plus belly tank (Long Range "Ferry" version)

some other combinations as well...  plus have managed to "add back" the original 1000lb bomb that i had to take out on the simple little "first" fuel tank pylon mod that i made earlier.   ;D

it's a learning process...   ;)

again thanks to Karaya and crew for this nice plane!

after seeing the work on the fuel tank pylon for the P-40F.
I noticed that the P-40E and P-40M, also not has the pylon.
you can fix this?

S! Beowolff

and thank you for your effort  ;D

don't want to hi-jack this thread...  since it's main point are those super nice Merlin planes of Karaya's...  but i've got them fixed (the E and M) already.  just piddling a bit to see what types of loadouts (historical as i can get them) can be added.  made NO changes to stock planes, just cloned them with same fm's/etc...and only fixed the fueltank rack and maybe adding a few other load options while i'm at it.  i'll start a new and seperate thread if i get it right enough to pass along.
