SAS is getting out of Skinning

But I have made the decision: This forum will get out of the skinning game as soon as possible.

So info for now: To present and support skins in a way that is useable to a guy searching requires a proper setup and structure. There are other sites that cater far better to this than we can ever do. Also much of skins on this site are simply reditrects to such proper skinning sites. And lastly, the skinning world bring yet another set op politics to us that we'd rather not have. We are a modding site, not a skin site. There are better skin sites out there, and we will rather support them.

Skins for mods should be posted in the mod's download thread. Others should just be on sites that have proper infrastructure for them not to get lost in.
Skinpacks for missions and campaigns should go into the misssion or campaign thread of course.

How we will dismatle or archive the skin forum is still getting sorted out, and dont worry it will be some days before it is gotten to. We also will start a sticky somewhere with links to skin sites, hopefully some also with searchable skin databases. Services we simply cannot offer, and are not into, at SAS.

Default skinning is another thing and is more a part of modding. But again: should go into a mod thread, not a skinning thread.

I leave this thread open for questions.
