Thanks Flak. Unfortunately, I don't have the computer savy to make the required code changes. Perhaps someone who does may step forward with some help.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/m4ynidgqs7doj2v/L-5_lowerseat.zipto install, download and unzip. go into your MODS folder to the Stinson folder, (do not do this on the float version for the float version ALREADY has the lowered seat.) then go into the Stinson's 3Do folder, then the plane folder, then find and backup and or rename the HIER.HIM file. drop the NEW hier.him file into the plane folder so that the game will read it instead of the old one you just renamed. that's it.
the 'second' pilot is disabled in "this" file so you can check out the seat has been lowered. if you want the second pilot back follow these VERY simple instructions; go back to the plane folder where you placed the new hier.him file, use notepad to open the file... scroll down or use notepad's search function to find the pilots section... you'll see the first pilot first...leave him alone. then you'll see the second pilot figure entry... REMOVE the // marks you see before it. look for his head and if it has the // marks also in front of it, remove those too. don't touch ANY other entries unless you know what you are doing. save and exit. that's it. go into game to verify that the second pilot is BACK into his seat.
if you don't like the new seat for whatever reason... simple remove the new hier.him file and replace it with the one you renamed or backed up.
