How to disable catapult mod

Im playing a pilot career as a USN fighter pilot and im taking off from characters, no big deal, its just that i cannot STAND the fact that the rest of my squad teleports down the entire carrier to use the catapult for takeoff, so im wondering is it possible to disable that? its really annoying...

conf.ini

If the [MODS] section is not there, add at the end of the file.
Mine is at the end of the graphics setting and before DGEN.

Late response, in my Conf.ini there is no line reguarding catapult...

you have to manually put it in there if you dont have it. type it in at the bottom of your config.ini - letter for letter as listed below: (copy and paste ;))

kinda brining up an old post, but is there any way to completely disable catapult mod for EVERY carrier? as the solution you guys have all given me are only working for one carrier...
