Hello,

I have a compilation of visual effects for the new 4.11 patch. Its consists of smokes (plane & ground) / fires (plane & ground)/ explosions (plane, ground, & bomb) / gun smoke  ~ tracers / classfiles / and many more touches to give a more enhanced/accurate visual experiance in IL-2 4.11.

This should work with most 4.11, but beware its not for low end computer systems. I also have NOT tested with stock 4.11. ALL tests was with 4.11 (tons mod activator with only stock 4.11 planes) & mounted sas/up3-rc4/DBW 1.6 files into 4.11 game.

Instructions:
unpack with 7zip and place in 'MODS' folder (before other mods) in your main IL-2 4.11 game. :)

I played a grnd attack mission, and most of my vehicles and tanks were missing. First bug

I was using pure 4.11 install
I tried loading some of the HSFX maps, and corrupted game.
Do reinstall, added mods switcher, applied your Mod, same
Tried with out Targets were back
Placed your mod in JSGMe folder and activated, Targets there but no mods, (checked with hurri tracers, Which look amazing).
The vehicles I lost were 5xpanzer, and anything with AAA it seemed. Thats how I noticed originally, I wanted to watch some planes burn with mod, and no one got shot at :c()   

So I've tried on two vanilla installs,   

I'll try more combinations as time goes on, and I will get to listing the tanks and Vehicles that do not appear, and the ones that do.

As far as Air too air, nothing out of ordinary, and I don't get the glitches I was getting, triangles of yellow and green appearing briefly during BoomBoom.

Map was MTO light
* NW Europe German Supply collum 1 (I) and 2 (II) were visable,  I think the ones  (not intimately familiar with Ground targets) that are new aren't appearing. They are shown in mission builder big map screen, just not in game.

I'll get back, time to Fly :c)

Thanks, which maps/version? vanilla or mounted files? I will check again, and report back.

I've experianced non of these so far. I also use omly 'MODS' folder w/ ton mod activator & mounted files, which work fine for me. Sorry but I cannot help with vanilla 4.11, or added planes (other then stock).

I will see MTO lite and see what shows up.

PS, 207 downloads and no feedback? Interesting...

Here's what I wanted it for, and you delivered. And we got ricochets, double :c).
Looked better when picture is rolling

I don't care what Ground target I'm shooting at, they could be boxes for all I care, the fact they look like little trucks is kinda cool, but meehhh.

And sorry for calling it a bug, I thought later how offensive that word must be to people who put effort into such a project.

Looks great and runs fine for me to date (4.11 with mounted files & some mods too - no new maps). Thanks for this! Really spruces up 4.11 nicely.  ;D

Hi JW,

I tried this mod with the mod activator for 4.11 as posted here on SAS and many ground vehicles and effects were missing when I tested it using the Black Death ntrk.

I used the JSGME method first and then tried using the MODS folder method but it made no difference in either case.

Are there any mods included in the 4.11 mod activator from Ton that I should remove?

Hello & thank you. Music, no need to appologies, critique is always welcomed.

I havn't tried MTO lite yet ( sorry).. but Black Death everything seems to be in order:

AS far as removing files/mods, I havn't found the need to remove any mounted files. I posted exactly what I have a few pages back. :)

I do see the tanks are missing from the Me262jabo track. Will investigate further.

Yes, there seems to be a problem with my effects mod. I will now start the very tedious task of tracking it down & fix. Will report back soon.

Hello all,

the problem is this file :

Code inside is not pointing to correct tank in the chief.ini here:
IL-2 Sturmovik - 1946\MODS\STS\com\maddox\il2\objects\chief
 
I think its substituting with some kind of motor bike. Cannot disable line becouse it will 70% CTD

I'm at a loss at the moment (staring to long at it lol). If somebody want to look it would be a great help
to me. Many thanks :)
