Great news!

Hope to see it also in a 4.09 environment!

Thanks for the spot!

Seems it's pointing to the Bf109E slovak skin. And the damage mapping is weird too. also, when we damage the propellers, they keep turning.

Far more progressed then the last version, which didn't lasted long.
Good looking Model, Cockpit without glitches, Gear, Flaps working.
It can just get better.
I have the skin working, read the lines. Dunno about damage, as I couldn't face only
on enemy. Brought my VG 33 back in one piece to la maison.

Same thing I just posted over there To get this skin you must go into the Arsenal_VG33 mod/3do/plane/VG-33  folder and find the v33 bmp file, drag it out and put into a new folder that you have just created and renamed to VG33,now take this folder and put it into your PaintSchemes/Skins folder and walla you can now choose it in QMB.

Is there any procedure to make skin work properly as default? I had to catch the one from the mod, who was to be the default one, and put on the skin folder.

I had the skin problem at first too, but I found out I still had an old install left on my game. It was disabled, but even so ... when I completely removd the old install, I could select my own skin. The default still remains the odd acid-trip skin, but you can make new skins and use those quite nicely now.

Here is a link to a template I made today. It's a bit basic, no camo, but it's a start. The screenshots are non historical schemes, but you can easily change colors if you wish.

I was hoping that one of the admins would respond so I could reopen the vg33 thread in the WIP section. Propbug noted. Also I never once had an issue with skins so I dunno why this is happening now, if any of you guys have the last release of this just delete it.

[ depallier ]   [DJP]  I tried it in 4.10 with Modact 3.06. It eats Bf 109 E4s for breakfast at 3000m.

For those, who can't find the skin, it's there. Look in 3DO, plane. You'll find a file V33.bmp. Make a skin folder using the air.ini entry[VG33] as a guide for the name, and you have a nice skin.

cheers

I got the default skin working but where do I put the template? Or is that used for making skins?

Templates are never of any use in the game itself. They are just meant to make skins with ... keep them anywhere you like, make a dedicated template folder for instance ... if you are not going to make any skins on your own, you'll have no real use for the template though.

Then again, you never know when you might find it fun to try out your hand at skin making ....
