Well, they have been showing us all those images of luxury because they know that envy is the most poweful weapon to make people hate someone. There are thousends of guys around the World that have enriched themselves with legal or illegal bussinesses and are not shown in the news.
I don't know if a guy is a mafia member or an Internet parasite by his wealth. If this one made money of children porn and stuff like that...just give me the gun to shoot him, but Who has quantified yet how many of those luxury cars came from legal or illegal uploads?
For me is equaly hateful a poor homeless pederastian than this guy, in the case He's guilty.
About people uploading legal files, did they have the obligation to know if the site contained illegal stuff? So, Why should they loose their files? FBI should give them back.
What about other nerds profiting on Internet miracles? Haven't they got yatches, planes and mansions? What about Facebook, where they are profiting on our personal data, and spying each and every picture you upload to detect anyone appearing in it? Talking about Big Brother...
Is it casual the coincidence in time between the voting of SOPA and this closure? Let's leave the judging work to judges, because we live in a new age of information manipulation.

And that's exactly what's important in this whole affair. Screw the guys who own MU, who gives a frig how many cars they own and where they live (as if those who pull the strings of the FBI and Government are less obscenely rich). What this is all about is that, with an excuse of fighting piracy (or terrorism, drugs, Communism or whoever is the official boogeyman at the time) someone took away a service that thousands of people used for perfectly legit purposes. It is not only MU, other file sharing services are being shut down as i type this. Soon none will be available.

And don't kid yourself, this won't stop there.

But people will always find a means to share. or to hang some politicians.
Life goes on.

On the page of Filesonic appeared this message:
"All sharing functionality on FileSonic is now disabled. Our service can only be used to upload and retrieve files that you have uploaded personally"
Also Videobb has close its sharing service. Fileserve and other similar sites have begun a massive "cleaning" and many of them simply refuse all connexions coming from USA
...they heard a distant sound of helicopters approaching?...and that music, isn't the Ride of the Valkyries??? ;)

Well, It has nothing to do with the topic, but that's exactly what happened in Spain some years ago with the intervention in Irak. 96 % of population was aganist sending troops to Irak and the former president, Aznar, sent them anyway. That's why He lost the next election mainly.
Now we have right wing government again. They are dismantling many of the laws and projects of the left wing former gov, but the law to pursue Internet piracy and illegal discharges, Sinde law, after former culture minister's name, is going on its way to approval, despite politicians in charge now were officially aganist it before and the strong popular opposition.

I hate SOPA. And PIPA and ACTA. Bloody hate them. I don't even know what the buggering hell ACTA is, but on principle (if it is another congress act) I hate it. Mainly because THOSE NAMES ARE FUCKING TERRIBLE. SOPA. PIPA. ACTA. They all sound retarded. How can you possibly write into law an act that sounds so stupid. How long did they spend coming up with those bloody acronyms? How about the Act For Stopping Online Piracy - AFSOP. Sounds just as stupid and yet somehow less banal.

You want a good name for a law that says what the law sets out to do, while also acknowledging that it may be a waste of time? People, I give you the British 1832 law:

A Bill For the Prevention, As Far As It May Be Possible, of the Disease of Cholera

Says it all, and so damned snappy too!

It is time for people to come together and enable a satellite network independent of the United States. Totally free. Only then would really be a free internet. The deputy who used the photo without paying copyright term should lose for lack of parliamentary decorum and violation of rights !!!:))
